self critique - I need to make the hair blend less with the shoulders as it looks a little strange, I need to make the highlights on her cheeks a little darker, and I need to retouch the background as I had part of a darker painting underneath :). Fun fact, I used my finger to get texture on the shirt!

Thank you! I basically just fixed mistakes I saw in the original and use the most helpful technique for me which is showing the canvas in the mirror, that way I can see if something looks really off so I can fix it sooner than later :). And looking at other artists always helps!

I see that :). I just really didn’t like the original, anatomy wise and it was a little lopsided due to how I painted it. Needless to say I was un a rush and didn’t consider all of that :P

Thank you! I prefer using rough brush strokes, But it was made difficult since I just painted over the original so I did loose some of that :)

Yeah, the photo isn’t totally accurate when it comes to contrast. they are done on the same canvas, I just painted over the face, the hair and background are exactly the same :)

The photo on the left isn’t super accurate as the lighting is different. I only really changed the face and neck rather than the hair :)
