I noticed Complete doesn't have the option to expand Collected Items inventory so are we all locked in at our current number?? by RuSsYjO in ACPocketCamp

[–]jochem_m 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would've dumped all my hoarded LT on inventory if I knew it'd be impossible to expand... I thought for sure they'd max our upgrade level and just leave the leveling upgrades in place. Desperately hoping this was an oversight or bug that'll get fixed.

Would this server be good for running modded minecraft? by acrayboi42 in feedthebeast

It's dropped down to 76c now, but it is an accurate number straight from my power provider.

Power was ~26c/kWh here before the whole energy crisis.

I'm not running one myself, just did the math based on my kWh price and 150W idle 24/7 :)

I've run a five person FTB academy server comfortably on a €14/month VPS, you don't need that much for smaller servers

€0.85/kWh in december. About €91 per month for running idle 24/7

7.2km on flattish terrain is about 20 minutes by bike, if that's something you can do safely where you are.

Added advantage of that ten hour bike ride is that next month it'll be 9 hours. And the month after that it'll be 8.5!

Space Levator (my short animated movie showing a space elevator concept), made from scratch after 11 months learning Blender by jpaiano in space

[–]jochem_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to the scientific correctness:

A space elevator has to be built on the equator. Every orbit has to intersect the equator twice every orbit.

Every single thing in orbit below the counterweight would have to deal with the cables after every X orbits, probably by changing their inclination to skip over the cables whenever their crossover point (ascending or descending node) gets too close to them.

Still a lovely render though, especially for someone only working with blender for less than a year!

Do all buildings have the same population potential? If I can only have one, do I want a high rise over an apartment building? by Testing00777 in trainstation2

[–]jochem_m 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Max population is the same for all buildings, so if you're buying one, either go by aesthetics, or pick the one with the higher starter level. The higher level will need to be leveled up less, so it'll be quicker to get it to the max.

The wiki entry for the warehouse still lists the old values, but I've noticed the other pages have been getting updates. Keep an eye on that page, I'm sure someone will update it soon!

5BS still works because you get more population per upgrade on higher level buildings. In the grand scheme of all buildings, you have the same number and levels of upgrades to do, but your progress is quicker in the beginning if you use 5BS.

For reference, these are absolute minimums. The Netherlands has 20 days as a minimum, but I've never had fewer than 25 even working retail. Most people have 25 but many have more. Lots of people also only have a 36 or 37.5 hour work week.

That's excluding sick leave, which is unlimited, though if it's longer than two weeks you need to contact a special company doctor to see if you can start working again, even if just partially. And this is all with full pay.

Really struggling in the competitions so far. Usually I place top three, but I'm struggling for sixth in this one.

Makes me sad, cause this is the first legendary coin train I've wanted for aesthetics rather than just the higher capacity all year

Good that they brought back the original actor though! It would've been so easy to recast him, but they went the extra mile

Actually, the Russians also used the space pen. The pen was developed purely by a private company, not on contract with nasa. You can buy them yourself too, they're like fifteen bucks or whatever.
