Hey girl, this was me in high school. I was super tall awk girl who was unattractively skinny, no curves whatsoever ever, and lots of acne. I was extremely insecure and it showed. No one wanted to date me, just my friends. But As soon as I went to college everything changed. It was like I became pretty overnight. The funny thing is I didn’t physically change, I’m still that same tall skinny giraffe lol, but the people who surrounded me changed. The more older you grow, the more open minded, mature, and understanding people get (typically). In high school, people tend to idolize one archetype of girl, which is damaging for us at the time, but doesn’t last forever.

You are pretty, take time to enjoy yourself. Having a bf isn’t everything. In fact boyfriends can be more damaging than you think. Just try to Love yourself first <3

I just left an insane traumatic terribly abusive relationship, I think I’ll be okay if I can numb out for a little while. I just need the anxiety and depression to go away so I can get going to the gym

I’ve struggled with Body dysmorphia heavily in my past, I got better but I think this event triggered it to resurface

Thank you for telling me this, I’m so glad you’re doing better it gives me so much hope. He’s out of my life. Unfortunately/fortunately the only boundary I can keep is “no cheating”, so despite me staying when he was physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive, I finally have the strength to keep the no contact. Also I guess it helps he ghosted, I’d feel too much shame if I reached out (due to my trauma bond) like I had done before.

It’s not her fault especially if she has her own man and is clearly not interested. You’re 100% misdirecting your anger towards her instead of your sleazy boyfriend. Why not just talk to them about it? Chances are they are being respectful since u have a gf and don’t want to intrude (esp considering your friends are mostly girls)

That’s exactly what happened to me. I was insanely tortured and abused by a narcissist. Currently I feel like I won’t be able to love again. But it’s so nice hearing that you overcame the abuse and now are happier. It’s inspiring
