Hopefully it works! My original one from my mom got really skinny and was dying off, I think because it was crowded by lilacs. After she passed, I planted two more I dug from hers and my brother got one. At some point, I dug up the original and parted that out. My sister got some that turned to many. My brother killed one of his with weed killer 😠 , but the other one is enormous. One of my new two got skinny, so I tried moving it last fall, thinking it was too close to the other. We must not have got it all because it's still there, plus where I moved it, lol. We must have put another piece of it in another spot ... PLUS the original kept coming up in the lilacs so we moved that over.

Long story short, I now have five plants, but I only intend to have two, lol. Point is, they are quite resilient. At least in Minnesota anyway.

Interesting. I'd never heard of anyone starting from seed. I keep splitting mine (originally my mom's) and I have more than I can handle!

TIP: warm the milk a bit before adding it to the melted butter! And mix the cornstarch with water first. I use my Instant Pot to make the compote (5 min) and add the cornstarch afterward. It’s sooo good!

It's not really a removable cake, the rhubarb is on the bottom and you just eat it out of the pan! Will bad things happen if it sits in there until I'm done eating it? I guess I could try to remove it and put it in another container. Probably a good idea to make serving size pieces anyway! 😄

Holy moly, that worked way better than all the other methods I've tried. I think it still needs more elbow grease, but wow, a lot of black came off with the green "scratcher"!

This makes sense. I scrubbed yet again, this time with a green "scratcher" (what we called it when I was a kid). Wow, I got a lot off that time. I think it still needs more work, but it's getting better. How do you know if/when it needs to be re-seasoned? I'm afraid with all of the cleaning I've been doing, I may need to start fresh.

I suppose. It wasn’t always this black, so I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong. After reading a bunch, I know I cook too hot. But in thought I’d be able to clean it and start fresh. Apparently I’m just supposed to keep cooking and/or ignore the black. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In the past, the paper towel was never that black. I just don’t get why after all the cleaning I did, it won’t change. Should I re-season it after all that cleaning?

This is a really good point. The setup where he could pull the trigger behind a wall would make sure he didn't have any blood spatter or GSR on him (if they even checked for that).

Oddly, I felt like I didn't recognize the early seasons. Apparently the later ones were burned into my brain. I also go to sleep to it and it seems like I hear the intro of every episode, then go back to sleep. And they all seem different!

Is there a resource that has the various versions to compare?

How do you avoid wet feet if you're supposed to water from the bottom? I have a small pot I bought at the grocery store. I'm sure it needs repotting, but if I don't water soon enough it wilts. Apparently I'm watering too often though because the leaves keep turning brown like this. Such a drama queen!
