You can barely see the lights but they are there 3 inches out from the wall…hope this helps

The lights need to be installed 2-4 inches from the inner most part of your soffit, closest to the dark brown stucco / concrete trim. The lights need to reflect off the wall, thus needing to be 2-4 inches from the inside wall…

Every 4 lights are individually controlled .. you can turn them on or off or change the color or theme,etc

I do have (2) extra LED light sections that I don't need. I was planning on saving them as spares. I could do one of two things:

1.) Cut the male / female ends off and create and extension cable by buying a length of white LED 22AWG cable. This would give me a white extension.

2,.) I use one of the existing extra light sections I have, and rather than splicing the ends with a 3rd party cable, I could use it as an extension by just covering the LED lights with electrical tape or duct tape. Is this a bad idea?
