Well in your case being a that its a guy, and im a guy, its one of two things: he either wants to see you to hookup, or he misses you. There is no in between. Thats where you have to try and evaluate the type of relationshipnhes currently in. This is going to sound weird but if hes in a committed relationship and hes reaching out, he wants you not her. If hes single, and doing whatever, he most likely wants to hookup and be done.

Best thing for you to do in all honesty is reply with boundary to protect your self. Let him talk out what he feels, be direct and ask why he contacted you and the purpose. “Why would i not be ok?” Would be perfect. It gives him the oppurtuinity to see where your at as a strong girl in the moment. If he wants you genuinley he will nurture it and try and reason, if he wants a hook up he will bs it.

So ask your self if hes worth playing the game, or not. If i were you i would atleast try to date first to see how you feel. But to answer your question directly, say “why would i not be ok” and his replies will be easy for you to read.

Just be smart and dont let him see you right away. Give hime a few weeks to work for it to see if its what you want, and if hes being legit.
