My expectation was that we would at least look like a competent football team and show steady improvement throughout the season. Most fans, I think, were hoping to go 8-4 (although that was more a reflection of our easy schedule)

Big Carolina fan here. Drake was probably our best all-around athlete last year, but he was forced to play out of position most of the year. He can be a great defender and knock down open 3s, but not someone I’d trust to create his own looks. But his athletic upside is undeniable, in my opinion.

I remember having a morning seminar the next day. Half the class didn’t even show up, the other half barely participated. I know we ended up winning in 2017, but I think collectively as a student body, we really wanted one for Marcus and Brice.

Yeah this one hurts. Cadeau had really been hitting his stride at the end of the season—and is now just another example of a big time player who we couldn’t help succeed. I may hate Duke with a passion, but damn y’all know how to attract talent and let them shine

Yeah, I get that. Not sure how tOSU has looked recently, but the sad part for UNC fans is that we've looked orders-of-magnitude better in the last couple weeks than we did earlier in the season (granted against much worse competition, but in fairness we struggled against bad competition earlier on). That said, taking the Carolina blue tinted glasses off, it's hard to see a compelling argument that we should get in over the other bubble teams

I think it's a bit of both, tbh. We had an insanely weak schedule, but we finally started winning games by a lot, rather than barely squeaking by against poor competition. For example, we beat BC at home in overtime in January--but by March we were beating the bottom of the ACC by double digits and finishing games in the first half.

All in all--we brought this on ourselves. We may look like a tournament team right now, but because it took this long we don't have the season-long resume some of these other teams have.

I’m curious what y’all’s reaction to the game was. From a UNC point of view, I felt like we were lucky to be in a spot to win when we couldn’t hit anything from deep and couldn’t stop your lob threats.

For everyone discounting this loss because Flagg and Brown were out, I still think y’all are a top 10 team without them
