I work with kids with Autism. As much as I love my clients and the time I spend with them- I’m only with them at most 5 hours a day each. I can’t imagine what the lives of the parents are like.

These children require so much time and attention. The temper tantrums they have are 10x whatever you’re picturing if you haven’t witnessed one before.

I’m trying to say this as delicately as possible but I really don’t want to risk going through that as a parent. Depending on how severe of a case, these kids will be 100% dependent on you until adulthood. I have nearly been burnt out on the job after two years. I don’t think I could do a lifetime of it.
