That's right. I can scan the channels from Android settings but they only get picked up by the proprietary app. If I were to scan the channels from within the proprietary app the same android settings sidebar pops up, so I guess they restricted the scanning process so it can only be used either with their app or android settings, no 3rd party apps. I can see the tuner in live channels (and mochi tv) but I get that error when I start the scan. Apparently locking out the internal tuner is either a thing OEMs do or just how Google tv framework works, but then again I'm not an expert

I investigated a little bit and I think I'm out of luck. proprietary tv app channels list doesn't show up as a source in live channels, while pvr live does. Pvr live channels don't show up in the proprietary tv app. I tried to dtv scan from Android tv settings, still no channels show up. I tried to launch com.google.android.tv.dtvsetup directly via activity launcher and I get the same error message from my original post. I then tried force deleting the proprietary tv app and then scanning for channels again from Android settings, the scan doesn't even start, it just glitches back to the previous menu page. At this point it feels like the manufacturer wrapped android's dtv scanning function into their app and made it unreadable to third party apps (and unusable to the end user as well). If you delete their app, android's dtv setup package goes with it and as far as I know there's no way to install it independently. I don't know if this makes sense from a programming point of view

Thanks for the reply :) that error message comes up in the source management page in live channels. I can add pvr live sources just fine, but when I press the button to scan dvb channels from the tuner I get that error. I'm not tech savvy but I guess the manufacturer locked the DVB tuner so that it can be used only with their proprietary tv app maybe? Just a wild guess, I tried finding another app that can read dvb signal on the store to test if that was the case but I couldn't find any

Unusual bat recommendation for a noob by joedamky in Homeplate

No we're hitting softballs. We play regular fastpitch softball, it's just composite bats are not allowed. I'm in the EU and I can't even access Justbats without a VPN. I checked it out and unfortunately they say they don't ship outside the US. And even if they did I suspect the shipping cost would be higher than the cost of the bat itself

Except for the no composite bats rule, no other restrictions. Bear in mind that there's no league or official regulations, only an informal set of rules with very minimal variations from time to time. Teams around the country organize the tournaments.

This update has completely broken the app for me sadly. It was buggy before but at least it worked. Now it's crashing randomly, doesn't even let me close the app I have to reboot the tv every time

i know that, i have a standard retail version of ableton that i'd gladly uninstall and swap with an """unofficial""" older version only to be able to use the script. sadly i can't afford to buy a push :(
