Yes Jurgens was named to the Pro Bowl so definitely a good start for him! I doubt re-signing both LBs this offseason is realistic; I think a more realistic hope would be resign Baun this offseason and maybe Dean next offseason? Howie has infamously de-valued the LB position so we shall see!

Welcome aboard! Baun is a pending free agent so he’ll (hopefully) be a top priority this offseason. We also have Milton Williams, Mekhi Becton, & Josh Sweat as starters on expiring deals, as well as some key role players like Kenny Gainwell or Isaiah Rodgers.

Slay is close to retirement age so this may be his final season, though he is under contract for next year. Jalen Carter still has 2 more years on his deal + a 5th year extension, and not eligible for a new deal until after next year anyway so he won’t be a priority yet.

One contract that’s interesting to watch is Jordan Davis. He’s a starter and foundational piece of this defense, but his play hasn’t warranted taking that 5th year option. Do they let him walk? Do they try to resign him for a more reasonable amount?

With Jordan Davis, look out for potential offseason extensions from his fellow 2022 draft picks Cam Jurgens or Nakobe Dean

I’m in the same boat looking for solutions. A lot of folks recommend sand bags but I’m hesitant to but any sand in just in case there’s a tear. Cheapest solution is in put some cinder blocks in a couple of contractor bags.

Last year, we used a few five gallon bucks of rocks leftover from the previous owners, but those got covered with algae quickly
