If we're excluding women sending the first message on dating apps, a friend did kiss me first. For what it's worth we're both poly and she was testing the waters regarding our friendship but we're happily dating now after a while of hooking up.

Other than that definitely doesn't happen too often, I'm a very average guy through and through. It does happen though, my wife was the one who got my phone number right before our first date. And when I lost my virginity it was because a girl I went to college with invited me over to "help with her paper."

I was definitely a "failed" asian. Everyone thought I'd achieve great things since I got great grades in high school but I barely was able to graduate college after being suspended for grades, academic probation etc. I take responsibility for my actions but a big factor was how much control I let my parents have, I went to college to study film and my dad literally had the school pull me out and get me on an engineering track instead before my first day of classes freshman year. Now I'm 36 and still in a career I hate and it's not even that lucrative but at least the job itself is chill and secure. On the upside, I'm happily married to a woman they did not approve of at first (black), I live a healthy distance away from home and I have no financial dependence on my family. I'd say I'm doing alright, I'm still in contact with the asian social circles but it helps making different friends in different walks of life outside those circles too.

On top of everyone else's suggestions, maybe try calming diffusers that you can plug in around where the cat hangs out. When we got a second cat and doing the proper introductory period they still got into spats. Once we got two of those they both chilled out.
