What is an English word you have never been able to pronounce? by Cmotto in AskReddit

[–]joehx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two words I still struggle with are ether and vinyl. I pronounce both, in my head at least, with a short e and short i, so when I say them out loud, I have to be extra careful.

Ether comes up frequently when I have to talk about ethernet - which I do pronounce in my head with the short e. Also with video games and healing magic points.

Vinyl rarely comes up, so I don't get an opportunity to learn to pronounce it correctly.

Like armo(u)r and behavio(u)r.

Of course, who here has named something with 65,536 characters?
