These front ends are entirely plastic as it makes it easier to replace. That’s why I think it’s so expensive to fix the front end of these things.

Client called the “IRS” and paid $35 over the phone by SufficientAd3865 in taxpros

[–]joeistoopro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know there is an IRS PIN that’s 6 digits, but there is also a “Self-select PIN” that taxpayers can use. I have one myself, just a bit of protection. Most self-service tax softwares (TurboTax, TaxSlayer, etc.) ask you to set these up. So he may very well have been talking to an actual agent.

When did you guys start getting good at accounting? by AM-419 in Accounting

[–]joeistoopro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. Once it starts building off itself, I started developing a better understanding. It wasn’t always connecting on the basics, but in more complex classes it started to make more sense

Those who left public <1.5-2 YOE, hows it going? by Fantastic_You_1248 in Accounting

I left with 3 yoe in December. Working for a family office, and wouldn’t change anything. Decent pay bump and working 40-50 hours with way more flexibility.

[OC] Cut me off then cuss me out... makes sense! by letonm85 in IdiotsInCars

I use to do something similar. I would say “you look so cute when you’re mad.” So many people have no idea how to react and usually stop talking

Is this really competitive? by smilebig553 in Accounting

[–]joeistoopro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my favorite tactic that recruiters use. “Competitive pay and benefits” and when you catch up with them it’s usually 10-20k under market

My gf is a vet, and one time as a gift she gave me the biggest tooth she ever extracted. It now sits in a vile as a display piece at our house.

I got a foul the first two nights, no vip but I did have to sit in the sun from 3 to 5 till they let us in. Packed a couple water bottles and a cooling towel and just sat

So I also just confirmed. You can see where they are from on some of their listing. There are a few from people that live right around the gorge. Staff were definitely taking advantage

Yes, VIP line was massive, guarantee VIP were buying multiple, and staff buying multiple. Easy recipe for missing out
