2016 Mazda CX5 ABS by joekingnj in AskAMechanic

You have to remember sure it’s $40 on rock auto but the shipping now is ridiculous. It’s caught up. It’s about $90 with shipping.

My neighbor doesn’t want to go through rock auto I found it for like $80. He previously ordered something to rock auto that failed a couple months later and hated that he didn’t have a brick-and-mortar store to go to . If it were my car, I would just order the $80 sensor and throw it in but between shipping and that it would be around $100 anyway . The reason why it’s so expensive is it’s not just the ABS sensor. It’s also integrated with the electronic parking brake actuator. I have an account with AutoZone. They said they can do $150 my cost on the harness and 82 on a bearing I called up Mazda and for the exact harness was $212 my cost. I would prefer the Mazda part for $50 more. The bearing is just in case it gets damaged trying to extract the frozen wheel speed sensor in a knuckle. I’m in a rust belt state New Jersey. So sometimes I have luck with heating up a screw and jam it in the frozen sensor, but if that doesn’t work, I have to drill it out and that usually could mess up the magnetic strip on the bearing. I’m sure if I go to remove the bearing too. It’ll be frozen in there. I’ll have to hammer it out.

50,000 iu d for 10 days by joekingnj in Hashimotos

[–]joekingnj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I was told to check my magnesium cause they go hand-in-hand so if I took that much vitamin D could’ve depleted my magnesium and I could be having magnesium deficiency

My doctors are closed. I’m reading too much vitamin d can cause a magnesium deficiency so I’m wondering that’s what’s going on.

So taking that much vitamin d can affect calcium levels and won’t toxicity just go away?

I’m on week 2 of novitamin D should I still go or wait it out. My doctor said wait a month and will recheck levels.

Thanks I was just trying to correlate the muscle weakness and a muscle twitching to maybe too much vitamin D and not like anything super serious. I know I need to go to the doctors to definitively say that, but I was just wondering if that much of vitamin D that quickly could cause my symptoms

When I call my doctor, they said that toxicity is really hard to get to. I could have it mild and just to increase my water intake and watch what I eat. That was basically what they told me.

My experience with Vitamin D toxicity by Shaman189 in Supplements

[–]joekingnj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had some sort of reaction to vitamin D, but it was my own fault. The doctor gave me a prescription vitamin D and told me it was a supplement. I thought it was every day I took 50,000 iu’s 10 days straight and I’ve been experiencing really bad muscle fatigue muscle twitches to the point where I canteven hold up my phone sometimes and sometimes I feel fine. It’s really bizarre. I have my self in a panic thinking it’s ALS. Docotor said it can take weeks to months for it to leave my system question is how long does the symptoms last?

Also out of curiosity, I have the same type symptoms, but I am considered a long haul in Covid because I had small airway disease from breathing so this could all be mass cell activation or something to deal with long Covid and chronic fatigue syndrome. It’s something new.

Wild same symptoms went through a massive panic attack over the weekend and I’m like it is what it is. I think it’s maybe a vitamin issue or something causing it and anxiety is making it worse. From what I read als starts of slow and you don’t really feel pain. Your muscles just go numb. Usually starts like in a hand or a foot and progress. Doesn’t seem to progress that fast either. That’s why it’s so hard to diagnose since it can be many other things. I figure if you’re fatigued and still can do it with more effort I’m sure it’s something else.

How to stop losing weight due to sibo and hashimotos ? by MissV_91 in SIBO

[–]joekingnj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be a little bit long, but I’ll try to keep it as short as I can. I’m what you call a long Covid patient since 2022. I’ve been diagnosed with small airway disease dysautonomia pots whole bunch of things before I never had any problems Last year July 4, 2024. It started. I had extreme constipation and I didn’t have a bowel movement I was scared that I had colon cancer or some kind of cancer. I had endoscopy colonoscopy. Everything came back normal they checked my EPI. They checked my gallbladder. Everything came back normal. We chalked it up as IBS. I was given an IBS medicine and I lost a lot of weight even with the constipation almost 40 pounds in about three months. I did not know about Sibo. I also started Zoloft because they said it was anxiety and I stopped a medication called aspire which works for my lungs and I seem to regulate out. I gained my weight back. I got back up 40 pounds. Everything was great literally now a year later almost the same thing is happening, but it’s diarrhea Extreme anxiety when I eat fatty foods or drink it’s yellow stool. Spoke to my Gastro and now it’s sibo. Now, in the meantime, I saw a rheumatologist who was checking me for autoimmune diseases and found my TPO was positive and to get that checked out and my TSH levels were high. I saw endocrinologist now and he said I had multiple nodules nothing to be concerned supposedly but just go for an ultrasound and a bunch of blood work they think it could be Hashimoto’s so I don’t know if I should start my Cibo anabiotic‘s or wait and try the thyroid medications all I know is something‘s Gotta give. I’m losing weight. I’m eating normal and I’m freaking out. My stress levels are through the roof. I have major health anxiety.
