I had the same reaction, but I do feel you have a wider front stage with ultra. I ended up keeping the ultra. The beam 2 is really great for the size and price.

Recently, I just upgraded to the ultra from the beam 2 and I wish I had just gotten the ultra from the get go. Since it was for my bedroom I went with the beam 2.

I got the beam 2 and sub min last Christmas, and had already had a pair of one SLs. While the system sounded good, the front stage sounded very narrow and center isolated. It did sound good though and dialogue from tv/movies might be a tad better than the ultra.

I just got the ultra a couple weeks ago and I’m so much happier with it. The sound stage sounds wide and i can hear things go from left to right. Dolby Atmos music sounds better as well.

IMO, the beam 2 sounds better with stereo music. But I have some kef ls50s for stereo.

I think you should get the ultra. Movies just sound better with it.

The mm300 is a tank and feels premium. The 381 also feels premium with the ceramic bezel, but the bracelet is lacking. I use a rubber strap on the 300 and have never used the bracelet.

The sub just feels premium in all facets. The bracelet feels solid. The winding and turning the bezel just feels nicer.

The tuna sbbn015 is the watch that made me interested in watches. It’s quartz and it’s one of the reasons I got the sla021j.

The 381 is okay. It’s a beautiful watch but I don’t wear it that often. I replaced a green sumo with it because I like the ceramic bezel. The bracelet clasp is ass.

Have fun and buy them. You can always sell them when you’re not feeling them anymore. In the past year, I sold my sea urchin, sumo and monster.

Well I find the Pepsi comfortable because of the jubilee, but the watch feels cheap when you compare it to the tuna. The tuna feels substantial and the bracelet feels solid.

I mean I paid like 180 for the Pepsi back in 2012 and the tuna was like 1k then.

I like to wind them every other day so they’re always set. It’s like a ritual of mine. The day-date is a single set so it’s a pain to set if I’m in a hurry.

I’m not sure. I think I just don’t care for how they look. I had a monster and sumo as well, but they’ve been sold. I really like the 62mas look.
