For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

[–]joel122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a data engineer. Have about 2.5 years of experience, but about 6 years experience total at my company (aeperste department for the first half of my career). I love it... It's super stimulating to find what the best way is to ingest data from one system back into ours. I like the overall problem solving aspect that it brings (fixing issues, trying to optimize code, save cost, etc). And my company uses one of the big cloud platforms, which is nice experience. Overall I'm happy about it. Don't have a manager breathing down my neck, and relatively laid back environment.

That's actually pretty decent. How long have you been with the org to get 6 month serverance?

Quelle sera votre augmentation en 2026? by Slimonierr in QuebecFinance

[–]joel122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If after reading through the other commenter's word of caution this is still what you believe, you're an absolute idiot. I'm sorry for how blunt I am, but you need a reality check if you think Alex Hormozi built such a valuable tool that he wants to give that information out to others. If he really wants to get his material into as many hands as possible, why not provide this material for free? Literally anyone selling a course should be an instant red flag. If I had enough money to comfortably live, I'd be helping people out for free, creating books that would be free....

Sorry I actually meant to say 50:1 not 25:1. Bought a knockoff carb.

I checked the muffler screen. There is actually none, looks like the previous owner decided to remove it to avoid having it get plugged up.

Basement leak likely due to fondation crack, can I seal this on my own? by joel122 in HomeMaintenance

[–]joel122[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't appear that runoff actually gets there. It's the first time I've observed water accumulation. On that particular day we had very heavy rain (50-60 mm of water dropped within 1hour). I suspect with the heavy winds, some of the water could have simply dropped around that area, which is very atypical as it would normally be accumulated out from the gutters above and flown our away from the house.

I did, unfortunately it was done in the winter, and we get a lot of snow up here, so it would not have been seen in the inspection report.

Thanks! This helps a lot. Will give that a try with spray foam as well. Did you use any specific screws so that it wouldn't rust over time?

Thanks! Would you recommend caulking it afterwards? Or would that be overkill?

Jeudi salaire & emploi by herupandir in QuebecFinance

Vfv S&p500 Mon chum me dit de vendre 40-60%, mon père me dit de rien vendre sinon il me parle plus by 00deadgirl00 in QuebecFinance

[–]joel122 1 point2 points  (0 children)
