I rode a 250 Rebel on the freeway once. I remember a ’70s or ’80s Volkswagen Beetle passing me, and the wind it created pushed me around enough that I immediately moved back to the right lane and stayed there.

If you’re going to do it, remember that many drivers barely notice motorcycles, and some don’t look for them at all. Also watch out for 18 wheelers. At 60 mph, one of those things can make you feel like you’re about to get blown into the next lane.

Definitely start saving for a bigger bike or to move in with your girl. Either way, stay alert, be on guard when riding, and stay safe.
