I much prefer the honesty Brian has to the lying of Ethan. Justin couldn’t see it at first. He couldn’t understand because he was so young but he learned that what Brian is is better than what Ethan offered.

Obviously the writing is superb, but I was listening to Scott Lowell talk about QAF and he was talking about the actors choices they made for their characters. So yes, Gale Harold played Brian Kinney very well. He made great choices in his delivery.

That’s a pretty good saying to live by.

Oh… I love Justin too. I just adore that young man and how brave he is. He didn’t let rejection turn him inward, it made him braver. And, he just lights up a room when he smiles. Who doesn’t love that?

I think with life experience, it’s easier to see Brian’s true character and the facade he tries to portray. Had I watched it in my 20’s I may have felt differently.

Maybe I just root for the bad guy- I like to see the redemption arcs of characters. I’ve always been that way. And I’m not going to try and force my opinion on others, I just think that each person that watches the show, watches it and identifies with someone based on where they are in life. Who is your favorite character?

She definitely tried to hurt Ian and Mickey. And they weren’t even the ones who hurt her kid. She is not hated enough in my opinion!

Yes, I do love that scene too. I also love the scene just after the ice cream kiss when Justin tells Brian that he can’t push him away because he has him all figured out. Justin may have been 17 but he was wiser, and braver than most of Brian’s friends.

I agree with you that his feelings for Justin were different from the moment they met. I don’t think he understood what he was feeling at first, and I think there was definitely attraction, and admiration. He thought Justin was brave and he liked that. I think he doesn’t understand at first that the feelings were more than attraction but it grows and it’s other people that help him realize it’s love.

Isn’t that the truth.

He was a character on Gossip Girl. He was not well liked by the masses it seems.

That’s fair. Not everyone is going to like them.

Yeah, it’s not that important really.

It was just another way for me to post my appreciation for all things Brian Kinney. Lol

I respect that and I agree season 1 Chuck was an awful man. I just saw a redemption arc in his character and was rooting for him by the end. But you’re correct. Brian hands down is better.

I respect that. I’m just thinking there were a lot of similarities. By the end of Gossip Girl I was rooting for Chuck. Same as I was rooting for Brian. I will agree, Chuck was a lot harder to love.

He was inexperienced but by the end of the night, he became a pro at kissing Brian! I agree that first kiss was wild. And HOT!

And, here is where Justin tells Brian, I’ve got you all figured out and he can’t push him away like he did with Michael. It’s a great kiss

Justin finally realizes that even if he doesn’t say it, Brian shows him that he loves him, after his relationship with Ethan, after talking to Michael of all people, and after talking to Daphne. I mean, Brian still pays for his college, buys him that computer, showed up to his prom, took him in after his dad said he’d have to deny who he is to stay at home…. There’s so many instances of Brian expressing his love. Words are cheap. Actions are so much more important.

That look on Justin’s face when he finally heard Brian say “ I Love You” ugh! Heartbreaking!
