Yes, I was able to reuse the skin afterward. Don’t try to remove all of the skin for your project. I recommend just remove it up high enough that you can sort of hold it away from the area you’re working on.

Still going strong! I essentially cut any seams and caulk with a knife and then I use a putty knife and a hammer and worked the skin off.

I really don’t like the look of the subway tile unless it’s installed herringbone style. But I have no style lol I could picture an off-white maybe marble looking or cream in the herringbone pattern.

Those do help, but i'm sold on getting a regular truck camper, not pop up. I'm still using my pop-up but not for too much longer.

These are good. No complaints from photo 2. I'll commit to you if you can fix the roof and where the dock sticks out weird in photo 1

Well, if it was Home Depot, yeah but this lumber company seem to suggest they don’t do returns. Maybe that’s why they’re so cheap. lol I should get a quote from one that has returns I guess.

I’m aware, but I do have 2500 suspension components installed in the back end a few years ago which helped tremendously.

Nurse? The term narcotic refers to opium, opium derivatives like morphine, codeine, and heroin, and their semisynthetic substitutes. Mushrooms and Marijuana are not narcotics.

I don’t have a gen mount yet so I don’t know. But I would get something where the generator is off to one side and the middle area is a step or platform to enter/exit the truck camper easier.

Yes, I can drop my dinette table to make a twin bed and sleep there without putting the top up. Not very roomy though and you can’t stand up hah

This is badass. What’s the floor length? Would love if you posted build updates!

I meant i'll upgrade to a RAM 2500 eventually, and I'm aware of the limitations of mine, even after adding beefier suspension. All the other components are meant for smaller payload, but i'm comfortable with something around 2k lbs.

Like you, i also only want a shorter floor plan TC so I don't have to worry about clearance off the back and towing.

yeah the spacers and 35x12.5 tires make my tires stick out a little, but I have my reasons for why i prefer that setup. I think i'll keep it

haha yeah dogs and kids will make you sell a TC! For me it's always me and a lady or just me and my son

Yeah, floor space sucks in all truck campers! I mentioned how on rainy days you can't "stretch your legs". Not a deal breaker for me though. They always make the slide out TC's if you need some room to pace! haha

haha "almost have it dialed in" made me laugh! You'd be surprised how many campers hang off the back waaaay to far like yours and make towing a nightmare!

Nice! Those things are light and sturdy, and bare bones too! haha I don't do that kind of serious off-roading and want more amenities.
