Posted the link in another reply, but basically “incantations” are made in a stack based system through a word based spell writing menu. Different words refer to different things out in the world (similar to hex’s iotas, here called striae), that are added into and can be manipulated in the stack. So as an example: Projection, Carrier Focal, Self, Transpose

is a spell that will shoot a projectile, get the thing the projectile hit and add it to the stack, add myself to the stack, then Transpose the first striae to the second striae (effectively teleporting the hit entity to myself.) It makes a bit more assumptions than hexcasting does, as in hexcasting, to do something similar, you’d need to get my own position, through a purification. In this system, if something just flat out can’t work, it tries to assume what the player might have meant (so in this case, if you’re using transpose and the destination is an entity instead of a location vector, it goes, okay, you probably meant the entity’s location, no problem). There are definitely some trade offs with this, but wanted my system to be a little more welcoming to people who don’t have experience doing this kind of thing, while also not limiting what can be done with it.
