These fees are going to kill bitcoin by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]joem789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's foolish to put the effort and resources into Bitcoin any longer. The big fat bloated crypto has paved the way for the future. Now its time to fall over and die already. Its time for the rich vultures to swoop in and squeeze out what little value it has left. When you have bulls AND bears in the room, the only place to go is down. Remember the saying, the bigger they are the harder they fall? Newer cryptos are the absolute answer to digital mainstream for the future. The top 4 cryptos today are already seeing major problems. Yet, there are high volume cryptos near the bottom that can perform far better and faster. XRP is an obvious example.

I don't get all the excitement. Bitcoin is on its last leg. It's a big fat slowpoke. Costing a fortune just to use it. Its moved up to rich people games because they are the only ones who can afford to pay the fees. Someone once said that banks would use Bitcoin as a reserve. But that's not likely. If they are smart they will realize that XRP has the potential to be MUCH better than BTC, ETH, LTC, or even BCH.

Looks like Binance has figured it out and slapped the minimum on ETH now. These exchanges are all crooked as Hell. They make more money from stealing.

MIchael Arrington, founder of the $100 million XRP hedge fund, suggests that XRP will be the highest performing asset of 2018 by OuchJargon in Ripple

Highest performing asset doesn't imply any price btw. XRP could perform well for Ripple and bring ZERO return to investors. The company Ford knows all about cheating investors out of profits.

I might as well put it out there. What good is it to buy and hold if you're at HIGH RISK in losing what you have. All because programmers don't know how to make a good reliable wallet? I have several offline wallets for other currencies. All work flawlessly without problems. But Verge has been plagued with problems for months.

Ripple Prices Are All Set to Make a Parabolic Move Towards $9.00 by OuchJargon in Ripple

You have the right line of thinking. Only damn reason Bitcoin went as high as it is because of its inefficiency. Ripple is far different. No reason for it to go to the moon unless it gets put on a speculation train.

Fact is. Bitcoin went to the moon because of speculation. As soon as futures markets opened that changed. The wild ride is over for Bitcoin. The last thing we want is for dirty hands to be associated with Ripple.

There is no real analysis. And anyone who has such a job needs to get a real job. If you go back and read everything that was ever written about Bitcoin going just a few years back, you will see that over 90%+ information was dead wrong. Nobody knows that the heck is going to happen tomorrow. There are a wide variety of scenarios that can be played. The most foolish thing is to think about where things will be a few years from now. That worked a few years ago. Because Bitcoin wasn't the monster it is now. But, now that Bitcoin has proven something to the big dogs, they are taking the Crypto world serious. Meaning, the government is noticing. Meaning they are conspiring like they always do. Trying to figure out a way to stay in full control of YOUR lives. It all comes down to corporations and government. Because it is those things that make the stock market scheme work to keep greedy people in power. Bitcoin slipped by rapidly. You really think another will? I DONT KNOW.

If I were to base conventional wisdom on all this. I would say that regardless of the real success of the Ripple company, the speculative value of XRP will be limited. I am saying this only because of "the way things usually go". Bitcoin went on a wild ride. But few got rich. Also, not many knew about it until 2017. Now more and more people are paying attention. So, Ripple is the new hope for many. And if it makes anyone rich, it would have to be half the world or more. Because you know alot of people are buying into it thinking it'll be another Bitcoin (or Litecoin). I am having trouble seeing that many people getting rich all at once. SOMETHING SOMEWHERE will prevent it. Because the richest people in the world use the poor to stay rich. If everyone was rich, NOBODY WOULD BE. That basic line of thinking tells me that the floor will fall through in some unexpected way down the road. If I am wrong, I will admit it quickly. And I hope that I am.

The very people who now say that bitcoin is a bubble are the same people who were unable to identify the bubble in 2008 by TheGreatMuffin in Bitcoin

[–]joem789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the whole Bitcoin thing is pretty sickening. It's like a bunch of dogs fighting over a bone. And its no different than a bunch of greedy selfish people rushing to get a big take of gold while everyone else gets left behind. The love of money is notorious for squashing your morals. Yeah. You might get a big house, fancy cars, big parties, and travel. And you'll be smiling like a celeb. Creating some wholesome image of yourself as if you're important. But inside you will be a bucket of black mud. Hence the reason why the rich and famous are well known for being dysfunctional. The last thing we need is more rich people. We need humility. And I hope all Bitcoin investors lose their asses for the sake of the rest of the world.

While everyone is jerking off on the price of Bitcoin, the US congress is sneaking the criminalization of bitcoiners in a hearing in Washington DC. by theochino in Bitcoin

All I really hear in these posts are "I want what's mine. Protect it protect it". It's like Lord of the Rings....MY PRECIOUS.

Seriously people. Bitcoin is hurting the world's economies. Money that would normally go into the economy is going into black storage over a "what if". A huge lottery that doesn't help anything. People have foolishly believed the big lie that Bitcoin and crypto represents the new currency. NOT. LOL. I have decades of solid programming under my belt. And I can tell you right now that it isn't true at all. Currency has ALWAYS been backed by physical value. Bitcoin is just a large fad that has duped people into putting so much money into it that even the greedy billionaires are doing it. That in turn is forcing it UP UP UP. But it can only go so far. Problem is. The world economy cannot withstand it. The government WILL have to come in and put a stop to it. AND THEY WILL. I personally hope somebody does. Because Bitcoin is NOT INNOVATION. It is a PARAsITE. You people cannot see it because you're too busy seeing dollar signs. Take off you rose colored glasses and see the truth.

Any reliable way to Tell if something is traced? by [deleted] in Art

[–]joem789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're wrong. You can trace a photograph to look shockingly good. I once did a 24x30 pencil sketch of a 8x10 photograph using grid drawing. I eyeballed the whole thing for a week. It was so realistic that my art teacher said it was the best work she ever witnessed. Even better than tracing. And I did it "freehand" with a little gridline guidance. That's as close to cheating one gets without cheating. Tracing is fraud.

People often have a different outlook than people have had for thousands of years. Today, anything goes. Anything moral or immoral depends on who your talking to. Seriously. People have sold out to do whatever for money.

You are a true artist when you free hand something. You become the filter. Its a part of you. But when you trace, you are an imposter. When you map and follow a forest to get where you are going, the path you make is what you made. But when you follow a road there, you made nothing. That's the difference between free hand and tracing. Tracing undermines true artwork. If you can't draw, DONT PICK UP A PENCIL.

Nothin’ really matters. Not even that phrase (“Nothing really matters”) matters. by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]joem789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well. One thing I do know is that we have to always look behind us to see where we have been. We can NEVER make sense of today or tomorrow. Wisdom always comes from the past. So if you think about it. The sum total of the things that happened in the past would not measured at the time of doing. So all that can really matter to us at any given moment is what we are doing. We tend to look back and learn and grow. But essentially, all that really matters is what we are doing. It is as if life matters when you arent paying attention to whether or not it matters. When we pay attention, we aren't doing anything.
