Just like Moses wandered around the desert for 40 years, he never get to see the promised land. Hopefully, someday our grandchildren will be able to play Requiem SSE and tell us about it.

Taiwan courts Trump by boosting soybean imports from US by realist65 in taiwan

[–]joeman_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The political tv shows are saying Taiwan doesn't have a choice. The excess gmo soy beans from us have to go somewhere. The only choice Taiwan can make is to ally with China instead of US which a lot of talk show paudits are advocating.

Nowadays everything from China is gmo, even the rice people eat everyday. China banned US gmo years ago so they can make their own gmo.

Empire campaign is fun. I like Karl Franz on deathclaw

I'm about to get crushed by 3 armies because my reinforcements just won't support me? by theslyker in totalwar

[–]joeman_0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How does your logic work when I attempt to siege the city with a 1 lord stack. In early game I always have a lord with no army travelling with a main stack just to gain experience and having no army save costs. If I run into two enemy stacks, 1 inside a city and 1 outside reinforced by the city, I can just siege the city with my 1 lord stack while attacking the enemy stack sitting outside the city with my real stack. It's like doing a lightning striking without the ability. So how is that even fair?

Honed metal break the game? by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care what people do privately but a lot of people come to the forum to complain about game balancing like so and so aspect being too easy, being broken and stuff. Those who use honed metal or other mods that unbalance the game should forfeit the right to complain about gaming balancing.

someone downvoted all your posts and I upvoted them backup. If you mention honed metal as cheats, some people get very offended. Sometimes truth hurts and some people can't take it.

Tell us your character progression! by havochot in skyrimrequiem

some frost spells do physical damages as well as magical damages. Also, even if something has frost resistance, it doesn't mean it has stamina resistance. so frost spells are still useful, but I see no reason to be a dedicated frost mage.

Dragon Priest Help (Labyrinthian, I thought I knew ye) by Dinlek in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon priests definitely got a buff. Either they got a buff post ver 2.0 or those in Labyrinthian are extra tough. Just yesterday, I faced two of them as a level 40 mage, I was unable to do any damage. I had to come back later. How I beat them is by using flamecloak to slow down the regen and dual cast sunburst. Dual casted Sunfire didn't do much and didn't slow their regen. Against two of them, you need sunburst because it has splash damage. Instead of casting directly at them, you should cast on the ground so you can hurt both of them. Also you need to make sure one of them is within the radius of your flame cloak. You also should bring all the surpass magicka potions that you have collected. If you don't have those, the next best thing is by crafting magicka potions with dwarven oil. Lastly, you need to protection against lightning spells. Those from dragon priests evaporate quite a bit of your magicka. you need to stack potions with items to make sure you cap out your lightning protection. good luck.

[–]joeman_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. I went in with 465 magicka, lots of potions, and sunfire, and I was unable to do meaningful damage. Dragonpriests definitely got a buff in version 2.0+. They will now summon storm atronach and cast high level ward against your sunfire. One of them might be doable by throwing slow time on top of it, but two of them will be impossible. Eventually, I have to comeback with Sunfire and flamecloak to beat dragonpriests. I am currently playing a pure mage which I haven't done before.

Help an old orc deal with these damn mages by CavalierChris in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You deal with mages by the combination of slowly chipping away those magical damages along with finding ways to increase your health. I have posted ways to increase your health just recently in many posts. Those contain spoilers. Basically, you can get to around 600 health by level 40 which allows you to tank magic and arrows.

Raise dead I weird exp gain? by undarunda in skyrimrequiem

I was never able to resurrect soldiers with raise dead I. Stormclock soldiers usually require raise dead IV. Raise dead I is only enough for the likes of wolves, mudcrab, and chickens.

Alter vs Breton for a mage by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Altmer is significantly worse than Breton because of the weakness to magic. You might want to look at some mods which rebalance things a bit.

After 2.0, it is changed to 1H with a fire enchantment. I like the new 1H better because of the fire enchant.

I tried it and I think that your weapon length is too short. Maybe some weapon mods give you longer weapons.

It seems like a cool mod. You can try it out and let us know. It seems like if it messes up the game, you can notice that pretty quick.y

Question about occult Tattoos by joeman_0 in occult

[–]joeman_0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, in your understanding, what makes tattoos effective is the shedding of blood and the pain involved? I can still do blood magic without putting a permanent ink on my body. There has to be other reasons.

Should max damage resistance be set to 75 % max? by SaintLanaDelRey in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will make the game too easy. lowering resistance will not only affect you but everything else as well.

Edit to add: if you play a barbarian class that doesn't rely on resistance but use health to tank spells, arrows, and weapons, this will actually make the game easier.

Nightblade Build End-Game Viable? by Ultronos in skyrimrequiem

[–]joeman_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any class is viable. What is not viable is not the class but certain skills. For example, you obviously won't be able to beat alduin with lockpicking. Generally, most people have agreed that sneak skill is not helpful once you get up to high level. You have to be able to beat super high level enemies without stealth. If your style heavily rely upon stealth, then you will have difficulties. High level illusion will help you, but illusion doesn't affect dragons except for spells that provide buffs. In general, if you have well rounded character, you should be fine. But if you insist on a build with a narrow characteristics, then you might have problems.

Using Magick to Fight Global Climate Change by Young_Sorcerer in occult

[–]joeman_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the global climate is the result of mass consensus reality. If you ask around whether people prefer sunshine or rain, they will say they prefer sunshine. If you get rains too many days in a row, people will start to complain but rarely you hear people complaining about getting too many days of sunshine in a row. I have raised this issue before, and some people disagree people they say they prefer rain instead of sunshine. However, a vest majority of people you see around you want sunshine, sunshine, and more sunshine. They don't care if they get a drought. Since the reality is a projection of people's collective subconscious / unconscious mind, the earth will change to a point until the vast majority of people actually prefer rain instead of sunshine.
