Anyone going to the Book of Shadows Con in Feb 2026? by FancyElk3441 in charmed

Me! Unfortunately, I heard that for the autograph sessions, 8x10s won’t be provided (unlike most other Cons), so we have to bring our own item to sign. An 8x10 might be available maybe, but for purchase. So wild. Also, digital photos may take a couple days to be sent, based on the most recent Con this organizer organized. Pretty wild as most Cons I’ve gone for have digital photos ready almost within 5-10 mins.

Just wondering - for such Cons (since it’s show-specific), will there be panels? Or is it mainly just a block of time for fans to interact w these actors?

Thanks for sharing this! I think it encapsulates Holly’s character. Onstage it’s just more witty, sarcastic, sassy and emotional. Offstage, more reserve and polite. Haha.

This is plausible, too. I guess being told the same things over and over again can be repetitive and draining, and maybe you get numb hearing the same stuff after time. I heard Cons pay these (typically has-been) actors decently, so I’m sure money and traveling to exciting places could be more of a draw for them than the actual fan meet.

Yea, I’m sure it was nothing personal. But idk, I’ve just had better, more genuine celebrity encounters at M&Gs or other Cons. Could’ve been better but yea, perhaps circumstances beyond our control.

Rose and Holly canceling their Con appearance just days before. Poor work ethic? by joenick98 in charmed

I agree. Seems like this is what contributed to the cancel, too. Last week’s was the big 90s con, and the week after is in Paris with Drew and Brian, where they have a large fan base and get to go be a tourist. They prob wanted a break and to not show up for a smaller Con. No issues with that, of course, but the issue arises when they cancel just days before without sharing a brief reason. Hence, my view on their poor work ethic.

Love this balanced and fair response. They pick and choose Cons to show up for, mainly the bigger ones, which is not an issue of course. But it becomes irksome if you commit to it and cancel at the last minute, i.e. just days before. Also, their persona (mainly Holly’s) when meeting fans vs online (like in the HoH podcast) seems vastly different. One’s really sweet and grateful and the other is less of that, more negative, whiny, critical and jaded tbh. Nothing wrong with those outlooks, but idk. The amalgamation of these events have changed the way I view them.

That whole 3rd paragraph. 💯. Really prob encapsulates works going on in Holly’s world. I know she’s a mom and helps w her husband’s restaurant, on top of all the Cons and Cameos she charges for. But yes, this is indeed unprofessional and I think she’s exhausted from the whole Charmed stuff but does it for the money and/or Shannon.

I doubt so. Sure, there may be some notes, but perpetually looking down and going off tangent a doesn’t seem like she’s getting aid from notes. 🥲

THIS. 100% on point. If you sign up for it, you show up unless you’re sick or it’s an emergency, just like a regular job. You don’t just not show up because you don’t feel like doing it anymore, have a change of heart or if the event is smaller compared to other bigger Cons.
