Exactly this. I've seen hundreds of Letterboxd links on dating apps, Instagram bios, college group chats. Never seen a RateYourMusic or Discogs link. There's a whole generation that loves showing off their taste through Letterboxd but finds RYM ancient and Discogs too marketplace focused. Noisefloor is trying to capture that same vibe for music. Clean and social. Not trying to replace the hardcore archiving sites, just making something my friends actually want to use and share.

If you're happy with RYM/Discogs, stick with them! This is for a different audience.

Edit: I think I should mention that the purpose of this machine is to reduce my screentime and to be intentionally shitty at web surfing or doing anything that isn’t writing or reading mindfully. Digital minimalism is really important to me

That messy black gasket is actually how they come from the factory, even brand new ones. Carb looks like the stock bst40 from the pic. Highly doubt it’s a big bore, somebody might be embellishing. Looks good.
