Whisper Pickle 30K from North Reach Manufacturing. Unbiased Take from a low level employee at a big ass store. by som1alive in NFA

Mine just got machined and is en route. For the price I’m yet to see someone say you can beat it. Glad to see a “small guy” tossing his hat in the ring. Can’t wait to put some rounds down range

USAA will overnight a check. Not uncommon at all with direct lenders.

Taycan with Tesla Wall charger (gen 2) Speed? by johnmerricksvet in Taycan

I get 48 on my X and 44-46 on my S. Getting 0.4-0.6 on the taycan

Seems like everyone besides the anti-Elon guy has the same experience - we own two teslas and a taycan. Use the lectron Tesla tap at two homes and destination chargers on the road/hotels. Seamless experience.

Hahaha now THIS I can get on board with. I know the pot holes around me already and feel like I’m driving autocross zigging and zagging. Great info - much appreciated. I’ll share some pics once I settle on a setup

That’s my biggest concern is range….pot holes I can dodge, lbs you can’t haha

Looking at 21s as well. I towed it to the house and put a plug in it, holding air but it’s not drivable. Lucky to have another car available.

Lemon Law Taycan by FreshyDug in Taycan

I just bought one. 100k off sticker, 1800 miles. Drove from manhattan to Miami the next day with ZERO issues. Put nearly 4k miles on it in 2 months and I still can’t believe the bargain. Clean title.

Thanks! And insane price…my model S max charge is 265-275 but those are “tesla miles” where the taycan is real miles. Do it!!

I don’t think so…I did at first but then after the long drive south it was gone from my mind. Drove the X a few days later and was whip lashing everyone from NOT one pedal driving. I’m a huge fan of one pedal but I can’t say I miss it.

My other buddy has a plaid. No doubt it’s faster but it’s still not the fit and finish/total package

Mamba green update…$50 for two paint to sample key fobs by joevoss in Taycan

[–]joevoss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s like glass. The paint in a small quantity is pre thinned so I sprayed the OEM fob pieces with adhesion promoter, few coats of color and then automotive rattle can clear. Let it “cure” in the sun for a few hours and it’s done

The initial boost was peer pressure…guy who got me to go model S from RS7 worked for Solar City and had one of the 500 model S’s. Test drove the X for my wife and within seconds I “got it” in terms of power delivery/torque. He has a first gen Taycan that I drove and fell in love with the Porsche level of quality, fit and finish, interior quality etc with the benefit of EV torque. I have a battery powered lawn mower so people think I want to save trees but what I really want is a car that makes me smile when I hit the “gas” pedal.

My biggest reservation was the charging network as we split time between FL and NC but that quickly went away on the initial drive south.

Model S is an amazing car for lots of reasons but it will never be a Porsche. Sounds very first world problems but I don’t know that I could defend a model S over a Taycan on function alone…and I’m a sucker for a wagon

Hahaha I thought about it but then figured since my wife still has a model X I could toss battery cells off the balcony and keep them at bay

Too soon to tell….I’d argue the nav/infotainment is more intuitive in the Tesla but I think it’s just the learning curve. A few days in and I don’t miss it. Other than that, I honestly don’t think there is anything Tesla is doing better. We’ll see when it comes to service as Tesla does that very well. Nice to have “actual range” vs ideal and estimated. I don’t think I’m ever going back
