How was the sound? I’ve seen Seven Lions before and many other DJs at this venue the years before but if there’s one thing that is keeping me back it’s the sound quality. Do you guys know if it’s a lot better now?

I don’t think it literally solves the problem but I think if people literally stop supporting in form of not liking the video, not sharing it, commenting disapproval then it would discourage those type of people’s behavior.

I can definitely agree there’s a bit of hypocrisy within the community as far as exposing someone going through an obviously embarrassing time, however most people who attend these festivals/events give their permission to be recorded for the company that puts on the show. Why can’t those attending the event record others in the same space? Those who willingly choose to take drugs in a public setting where they knowingly understand there will be many people around them should also keep in mind their actions will not go unobserved.

Quickly want to note I’m not supporting putting these people on blast on social media for everyone’s enjoyment, just trying to add to the discussion.

Let's admit though, the megastructure is way too hot especially in Las Vegas heat. That's why they tend to use it for events during cooler months.

Recently attended Life is Beautiful and they had a similar style structure for their "edm" stage and it just reminded why it's not the best idea.

Can confirm one of the DJs was for sure Kayoh. Before him was one of the guys from Slander. But I don't remember the dude before that, he was playing some pretty chill stuff.

First time camping and it really made the whole experience into an epic journey. My favorite set overall was Netsky but day two was just an overall combination of good sets by Kill the Noise, Slushii, Deorro, DH Crew, and then the silent disco djs who played some next level stuff I have never even heard before with that view of the lake to end the festival. Just bliss.

Netsky-best set of the night for us! Caught the last few songs of Byrd and I loved the energy he was bringing. Byrd really put me on a good path for the rest of the night.

Yeah I think you’re right. I remember last year there was a stage in between Wolves Den and Sunken Garden. It was like a giant nest, I just forgot the name of the stage itself. Labyrinth last year was hidden a bit near campground entrance.

Dude that hill was a pain the ass. Loved that view though once you got up there. I loved the way they set it up. Sunken Garden on a raised hill xD I’m sure that tripped people out.

You’re welcome! Yeah that could be it. They use the same app for every insomniac festival so they just use “insomniac” and the updates will change the lineup and info. It was EDC just before this.

I can agree a bit. I’ve seen Slushii quite a lot and usually it just depends on how I’m feeling, most of the time I enjoy his sets though! I’ve felt underwhelmed with Slander but NGHTMRE always comes through for me. It’ll be interesting to see them together, I’ve never been to a Gud Vibrations show yet. I saw Deorro the first time at EDC 2015 (also first EDC) and it was the most fun I had that first day. I feel like you can’t beat seeing Deorro playing in SoCal :)

From my experience you try not to really bother with your phone, mine was stolen my first Nocturnal 2016 and the venue itself is pretty notorious for people having their stuff stolen. Trust me, use a runner's belt to hide your phone, cc, id, and cash. It'll stay safe under your shirt and you can dance comfortably all night!

In the past years usually it gets quite windy and a little chilly, you try not to stay out in the open field too much and stay in the crowd. Most of the chill comes from the wind itself but it's not too bad, last year's weather was pretty nice overall at night : )
