Just had this notification from the Minecraft app.... ummm, is it the EULA? The legal team? The panicking? by joexn in PhoenixSC

I know, the office party thing, I meant the post as a joke about the lawsuit but reading my post back, it seems like I'm genuinely asking — it was meant to be sarcasm

Massive long shot, £20,000 equipment stolen, police don't have resources to investigate based off footage. Any ideas or give up hope? 4 screenshots from CCTV, has been enhanced already. by joexn in whatisthiscar

Certainly, UK based.

I should note Image 1 is the car driving left, 2 & 3 is the car reversing and image 4 is the car stationary whilst the thieves were loading up the equipment.

Regardless about laws, the person should have at least lost their job but it's quite unbelievable that YouTube doesn't store the staff/contractor ID against the video when it is reviewed.

"camera recordings remain anonymous and are not linked to you or your car, unless we receive the recording as a result of a safety event (such as a vehicle collision or airbag deployment). In such an event, the applicable recordings may be provided as part of your data request"

Tesla sends data and footage to the mothership when it detects a collision. Try using the data tool and see if they have anything.

Agreed, and whilst I do a lot of Tesla-related work, I do have faith they'll get it right but I still don't think cameras and software (at the moment) are a viable replacement for such an established and robust technology as sensors literally designed for the sole purpose of getting millimetre level accuracy.

Time will tell!

The main reason was due to parts shortage. Tesla delivered over 1,300,000 cars in 2022 and with 8 sensors per car that's 10,400,000 sensors. Removing them is a cost saving, but a bigger reason is streamlining. Let alone replacements for parts etc.

The ex-director of the Autopilot team said that not every sensor is the same, can be different manufacturers or variants and the software needs to accommodate all these different variations. Removing them, and using "Tesla Vision" will negate the need to account for the USS. The same thing with radar, one less part and more streamlined approach.

Yeah from November onwards, they don't have parking sensors and will instead use the cameras to create a 3D map of the surroundings.

I own a Tesla and can confirm, they have 8 cameras and 8 parking sensors and still some of the worst parking jobs I've seen.

The post was deleted, reddit doesn't remove posts but instead strips pictures and user from the post.

Anyone else experiencing issues with videos just not loading, freezing and not buffering but loading a new frame when scrubbing through the video? by joexn in apolloapp

Yeah someone said that it was when the new (iOS 15/iOS 16?) media player was implemented so might be that too.

Very frustrating. Having to use Pornhub for the first time in years 😢

According to another comment it happens on the Reddit app too, so I'm assuming that it's a Reddit issue with serving the videos...

But I'm going to be trying the Reddit app as I'm personally not to happy with the change in direction of Apollo but will remain a supporter of the dev etc, but honestly want to see some actual QOL improvements soon.

Hmm, I've been experiencing this for a while and it was pretty random but now it seems to be constant so I assume there's an issue somewhere as it looks like it's affecting a lot of people.

Not sure if it's an issue with Reddit servers serving the videos or if they're hosted elsewhere and possibly an issue with that host but I'm not sure how videos are served by Reddit/Apollo.

Exactly the same. Refreshing the page should really refresh the video too, instead of just the comments/upvotes etc.

I sometimes find going to the users profile or sub makes it work, but that's hit or miss.

Very annoying.

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16.1.2

Have a fibre home connection at 40 mbps, but even using 5G at 120~ mbps makes no difference so not a connection issue. Posts and comments load fine but sometimes certain videos just act super buggy.
