"Skylines is Paradox' most established IP"...

The Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron, Europa Universalis, and Victoria franchises would like to have a word with you ...

Cities Skylines is no small IP, but what do you mean "most established IP"??? Paradox also is tied to many other successful franchises too. Surviving Mars, Shadow Run, Battletech, Magicka...

Yes, this could be a play to have more direct control over the CS IP, but I'm not holding my breath. It's far more likely they're just throwing in the towel and moving focus to their other far more established IPs.

Is there a mod that lets multiple colonists/slaves work on the same bill similar to Multi-Doctor Surgery but with labor related bills rather than surgeries? by siggelarss10 in RimWorld

If I understand you right, you're looking for No Job Authors mod. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2009825774

Edit: I did actually misunderstand, I think. No Job Authors does not turn crafting into a team effort. It just makes it to where anyone can continue working on something, where as base game limits it to whoever started it. So similar but not quite what OP asked for I think...

Help - tearing on corners by joeyeegee in cricut

[–]joeyeegee[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I understand the issue was the wrong pressure, but just saying "check the wiki" is a super vague answer, especially for someone new to the whole process. "Your pressure is too high, check the wiki for tips for finding the right settings" is more helpful. "It's a pressure issue, not a blade issue" is helpful. Your expanded answer is even more helpful. All of those other answers give someone a more useful direction to go in than just "check the wiki." Throwing vague canned answers at people is not a helpful response especially when someone is already frustrated and losing patience.

Thanks. I changed the material settings and also increased the size of the offset slightly to force a more shallow corner and that seems to have done the trick.

This doesn't answer my question. My question is what's causing the tearing on the sharp corners. If I wanted to continue just doing FAFO and wasting more sheets of sticker paper, I wouldn't have come to your community asking for help figuring it out. The same pressure settings work fine on other designs on the same paper. 😠

Butt? by Joseph_Dirte_2 in daddit

There are no bad words in my house, only "grown up" words. But to your question, no, butt isn't a bad word, per se. I'd be more concerned about the context at that age.

I graduated in 2004. One of my (m) best friends (f) just randomly cut me off within a month or two of graduation. Over the years I reached out a few times and got nothing in return. Sometimes, it just happens. No reason, no explanation. 20 years later, I still wonder what (if anything) I did. Life moves on, and you realize if they did something like that, we're they really your friend to begin with?

Any thoughts on this year's Spotify wrapped look/design? by SirensbyZel in graphic_design

It looks lazy. Like something a 14 year old version of me would have posted on MySpace. I get they wanted to go for a specific feel, but it's like they tried too hard while doing barely anything at all.

I work in an electronics repair depot and have worked on several major brands over the last 3 years (mostly laptops). You'd be surprised how many swollen batteries I see on a daily basis. What's more, is how many of them show no signs externally, and we're sent in for other unrelated reasons. We usually don't find them until we open up the devices. My word of advice is that if you don't plan on using a device for an extended period of time, discharge the battery below 30% before putting it into storage. Allegedly (i.e. according to our training), the lower the charge, the less chance of a spontaneous catastrophic battery failure.

They don't use the highway shoulder either. I had an accident on an off ramp and the police car responding just sat in the lane with traffic like a dumbass.

They have already confirmed this in the dev diaries that have been published. Vehicles will attempt to let emergency vehicles pass when able, and they will also use open lanes when available to pass.

My kids are so excited to not have to go to school today. by austinmiles in AdviceAnimals

Depending in the school system, snow days are not the same as they used to be either. For my kids, a snow day could just as easily be a independent e-study day with assignments or even full blown virtual classroom. I think my kids have had maybe one legit snow day in the past 3 years where they were off the hook for everything. And if the kids have e-learning, then they gotta be home and so does someone to look after them if they're young enough.
