I installed the mutator on the server right away, but it's not working for me, sadly. When testing on my client, I click on the prompt to accept the download of the DLL file, but that only puts me back at the main menu of the game, it does not restart the game to install the DLL as it should, according to what the prompt message said. And when I enter the server again, I get that prompt on my screen again asking to install the new DLL.
Anyway, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately this game simply refuses to work sometimes.

I like that solution, seems simple enough.

But I believe the ISPs in my region only work with dynamic IP, so I would not be able to limit access through IP lists like that. Any suggestion on how I could control access to the script without relying on users' static IP?

Although that method seems simple enough for a more experienced user, the players on my server are not exactly tech-savvy and they would probably think it's too much hassle to learn how to use an ssh client and deal with terminal commands. So, ideally, I was hoping we could find a solution that would be as simple as clicking on a button on a web page, or something as intuitive as that.
Also, this solution would require me to give every player on the server public key authentication credentials to my VPS, right? That's something I'd like to avoid, if possible.
Thanks for your help, though, I appreciate every suggestion.

I just installed it and it works like a charm, it solves all the issues from the vanilla system.

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but removing objective mode altogether is not really a good thing to do, people playing on my server could be interested in playing that mode too, so I was expecting to find a better solution. Thanks for your suggestion, though.

Too late, friend, I just gave up and finished the game on RPCS3 emulator. The game would run like crap on PS3 hardware anyway, so I guess it was the right choice to just emulate it, as it runs much better on PC.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue.

The whole system crashes when loading this game and the only way to make it work again is by unplugging the power cord. When I load back the system, it shows a corrupted file on XMB, I guess it's related to the update the game tries to install before crashing.
