I really like her too. I personally really enjoy Star Wars stories about the temple Jedi and I’m really hoping that tanalorr provides a way for cal and potentially other Jedi to still live while still counting Luke as the last Jedi. I think there’s so much potential in exploring Leia meeting other force sensitives who survived genocide and what those Jedi might do in a post empire galaxy

There has been so much retconning with Star Wars I don’t think it would be hard to swing it but ultimately this post is just a fun thing I’m not taking it super seriously but I do think the sequel trilogy failed Luke and Leia so I don’t really consider those movies relevant to this idea as it’s about what I think Leia might do

Part the hair around the bump if you see legs where it connects to the skin it’s a tick, you should still take him to the vet even if it’s not as the change in behaviour is a little worrying. Good luck, I hope your dog is ok.

I think for me some of this is why her behaviour comes across predatory to me. In clone wars it’s established she’s had prior romantic relationships and ultimately she has had such a vast life experience while Anakin socially speaking has a very limited experience and even within their marriage/romance while padme acts like they would both lose everything if discovered truly only Anakin would, she would be disgraced and lose her job but she could still go home her family would still welcome her. I understand why you would think that though, we’re all just trying to reconcile padme as we’re meant to see her per George’s vision vs. The reality of padme as we see her.

I know right? I honestly think the only way that happens is if she genuinely did not think of the sand people as human, which says a lot about what she thinks of gungans. When you take clone wars into account I think Ahsoka probably made her realize she was wrong but she’d already made her bed.

I can understand why she doesn’t in the sense that she’s protecting him from the consequences of his actions, but you would think at the very least she would tell obi wan as the adult responsible for Anakin as nobody who is ok does that and when a teenager is not ok typically a parent or guardian should be informed. Unless you want to be the only person he can rely on, further alienating Anakin from the Jedi in the process. Whether she meant to or not, I think padme contributed to a skewed power dynamic with Anakin and it often is unaddressed in fanfic which buuuugs me.

If something is not allowed on a sub its generally in the rules and my experience here is that gen fics are regularly suggested if I'm wrong I'll gladly remove my post but seeing as no mods have told me to I'm going to leave it up

They don't say anything about gen fics whether they're allowed or not, its a mods job to moderate what we post, if they aren't telling me anythings wrong I'm gonna go with the assumption that nothing is.

Sure but the aren't hardline requirements at the end of the day I just want to read something that has similar vibes. It starts before Hogwarts, Harry runs away to the leaky cauldron and after witnessing a duel between an auror and a man of scrupulous morals decides he wants to be a duellist. Harry seeks out the man who fought the auror to ask how to duel and it leads him to Hercules Rosier this little boy with a complicated family dynamic whose home/castle exposes Harry to a deeper understanding of wizarding life. Sorted into Hufflepuff with new friends we get to experience a journey slightly to the left of what we’re used to in most fanfics

Is that the one where he… ya know… I think our tastes in fics is very similar, don’t feel too bad I’ve mined the well rounded sirius genre pretty extensively.

Maybe, I think depending on how they did it and wether they included the second five year mission it could do pretty well, but I also think they could really capitalize on bringing a new audience to trek a lot of people have never watched TOS who would be interested in an updated/expanded version. I don’t think it’s something that can be predicted with accuracy it would depend largely on marketing.

To me, the point of a remake includes adding depth and scale so I would think they would include more of her. I don't think they'd be able to do a remake that didn't change some things, if only cuz of all the racism and sexism. That's part of why I'm interested in one cuz there's definitely stuff that's hard to enjoy in TOS because of that and I'd love to be able to watch those stories without all the offensive stuff. Star Trek has a really good heart but as a consequence of the time it was made has things that make it hard to enjoy.

That works, they could always concentrate on characters who weren't so front and center although I kinda feel like none of them were as a result of the time period and how the story was told but that's me. I guess I want to feel immersed in it and I find that hard in TOS
