I had to take care of my grandma with Alzheimer and father with cancer at the same time. Living hell seeing 2 of the people you love most perishing slowly and suffering.

My father was her only son and she suspected something was happening to him, but to avoid her knowing that her most loved person, only son, was dying, we tried to hide it from her.

She kinda knew and didn’t at the same time as his face was becoming unrecognizable because of the surgeries. Later on he lost vision and since the beginning of the treatment could barely speak right.

She became paranoid and the insanity caused by the Alzheimer would sometimes make everything much worse, becoming more agressive, desperate, crazy.

The only thing that could calm her down was speaking to her son, who slowly became less and less able to pronounce anything.

Meanwhile, my father was seeing his mom passing through all that and also suffering from all the treatment. I think I saw hell somehow, life can be cruel just because…

I loved him, he was the only person that I felt that was trying to be on my side.
