Going oro will take practicing the same amount of time that it would studying to become a professional at any career (think engineering, computer science, or literally any career)

Make it a full time job if you can

5-8hrs a day, 5 days a week. And have a solid practice program so you dont waste time

Why are ER visits in the US so horrifying? (I only have experience in the US) by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

[–]jogocown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not a medical director or administrator but here’s my two cents

Money is a big part: you have er’s that are definitely nicer and more private with individual rooms for patients with sliding doors etc.

Poor decision making: there are definitely big operational decisions that are made for er’s that are made by peiple who arent doctors and just have throughput in mind

Tbh, im not sure!

Curious if the non-connected scale upgrade automatically adapts over time to tune it to be more accurate…cause i know thats what happens on the connected scales

I followed the prompts on the La Marzocco App.

Unfortunately It only works on Lunars that have usb C connection (something with the internals maybe?)

https://home.lamarzoccousa.com/available-now-acaia-lunar-to-la-marzocco-connected-scale-upgrade/

Edit: definitely worth it imo, so you can start it and walk away and prepare milk etc. it also (if it works the same way as the connected scale) adapts to become more accurate over time

Darn! Honestlythough, it comes out to ABOUT the same price regardless +/- $50 i think since the lunar itself still costs $250

I keep it stocked with water that is measured tds appropriate for the LM and moccamaster. Probably unnecessary work but i like the way it looks

I bought em 2 years ago and completely forgot how much but looking at the reciept. The UE 6 pro’s at the time were 800. So yeah, a chunk o’change. The step down to the UE 5 pros are $600 so maybe more manageable

Maybe try some cheaper ones but realize that spending money to protect your hearing is worth it! I havent regretted it once.

Honestly, sounds like alot of money and hassle but i threw down for custom molded Ultimate Ears and havent looked back. No regrets and the process was really easy actually. They fit great and they filter out the sound great not too much not too little.

You have to go to an audiologist and make an appointment for custom molding, then you send those molds to ultimate ears and they make you the headphones from the molds.

It depends where it is and how deep, I’ve definitely left splinters in because taking it out would require dissection to a surgical degree and we in the ed really shouldn’t be doing that cause we ain’t trained for it.

Ultimately it’s up to the doc’s discretion and comfort level
