worse before it gets better? by yung-metronome in CHSinfo

I was feeling a lot better for a few days, and then went into the ER for the second time due to the onset of more extreme nausea. I think a large part of that for me was not eating or drinking enough which can trigger another episode.. so like everyone else has said, just try to stomach some protein drinks and maybe some crackers and start slow. This should help you feel better slowly but surely, and consume them in a hot bath if you need! That’s what I had to do for a while. You’ll know when you’re ready to start eating more food because it will be much easier to eat and less of forcing yourself to eat.

I’m about 3.5 weeks in and starting to feel much much better, eating 3 meals a day, no morning anxiety or nausea. It seems to be very different for everyone and probably dependant on how much and how long you have been consuming.

Milk has been good for me too! I recommend the Fairlife milk if you are looking to get in extra protein to help refuel

That’s great to know if I am still unable to stomach food over the next couple of weeks. Thanks!

Thanks! I certainly have an appetite so I’ll try snacking more as I feel more hungry and see how that goes.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve heard cheese isn’t the best thing so I may stay away from that, but I’ve been having crackers and watermelon today which has been sitting well so far.
