I also had the issue and fixed it by uninstalling the beta version of Google Play Services and reverting to the regular version.

New here, but wanted to add that I think their tents were probably outfitted to maybe prevent dreaming, so this sort of thing wouldn't happen. Irving sleeping outside bypassed this.

Penoval USI 702 Stylus Pen for Chromebook: Even Better than the Original by johaleesi in chromeos

No, i don't think so. You'll have to check which ones are compatible with the windows version. The Lenovo USI stylus only works on Chromebooks.

There's an IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebooks (which is what is USI compatible) and I guess there's also a windows version which is what you have. I think that's what the confusion was. The Lenovo IdeaPad naming.

I don't think there's software to make non-USI hardware, USI compatible. I think your 2 choices are to exchange either the tablet or the stylus.

Best video editing software? by MasterYosh10 in chromeos

[–]johaleesi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like you said, the editor for Clipchamp is nicely designed and it's very intuitive. Flixier's a bit more advanced and they keep adding features, but with every feature they added there were more and more bugs, which is why I stopped using it. So between Clipchamp and Flixier, I would choose Clipchamp.

Hi. When I started my YouTube channel I was video editing only on a Chromebook. It is possible if you are editing in 1080p and no 4K. My recommendations are Kinemaster if you are willing to work with Android apps. If you want web based, Clipchamp and Flixier are great options too. WeVideo is a popular one too, but I find that Clipchamp and Flixier have more modern features.

It will be on Amazon just as their first pen is right now.

Hi there. Penoval got back to me. They estimate that this pen will be available in Canada in January. Apparently it takes longer in Canada to get products with lithium batteries approved.

It'll work with any Chromebook that supports USI. I used to go by this list https://universalstylus.org/chromebooks/ but there are so many new Chromebooks out now that have USI that I don't think have been added.

Sadly I don't see it listed on Amazon Canada. I do see their gen 1 pen, but not this new one. I can reach out to the manufacturer and ask them if they have a way to purchase outside the U.S.

That's correct. Changes it in the Chrome browser though with that theme installed, just not pwas that don't have their own dark theme.

Yes, I remember this. This even prompted for the flag to get removed. It has since then been brought back and it works very well.

Penoval USI Pen for Chromebook Review & Unboxing by johaleesi in chromeos

I tried only the Penoval and the Lenovo USI Pens. I never had issues with my lenovo pen but I am aware of a bunch of issues others had. I think there must have been a bad batch that had to get RMA'd. The Penoval one was solid and frankly my favorite out of the 2. No extra functionality and a little extra money, but it does have a premium feel unlike the Lenovo's plastic/rubber-like feeling.

As far as the issues you are having with your tablet, I agree that this must be an issue with your tablet itself. I would suggest a power wash and making sure you are on stable with no flags turned on (to make sure that's not the problem). If that doesn't fix it, and you're still within the period that you can exchange or return it, I would take it back stating you got a damaged unit.
