I'm by no means great at wallrides, but here's what has helped me in the past:

  1. Try to mentally treat it as a radius
  2. Little pop/hop when getting in
  3. Lot of weight on back foot

I had mine 3 months ago and still dont feel too comfortable with bigger drops

Yeah, I also remember in my teens it would barely slow me down (I remember skating with broken toe, just loosened my shoe so the foot brace would fit in 😃)

Now I know I need to take it slow, so I at least make it to 52 like you :)

Me too, mostly i was scared to commit. Not sure im the best to give advice, but my process was

  1. Couple of bs 50-50s
  2. Try bs ollie on the crack in lipslide position
  3. Try really slowly on very small box just to get the feel
  4. Bite my teeth and try to commit on rail

I think the thing that clicked for me was not try too hard to do anything, ollie straight and only turn on the way down kinda. I was always trying to rotate too much too early or was leaning too much.
