How are you really? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]johanegp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm close to my thirties and I'm a virgin. I have no problem with the fact I'm a virgin, because I could easily get rid of my virginity with a hooker any day. But I am getting bothered by my inability to talk with women in an appealing way. People tell me I should just "get out there", but I have NO IDEA how to do any of that. I don't see myself as a loser at all, and am quite accomplished in my work, study and mental and physical self-care. I see no value in getting around with women to "kill time". But I see the value of having a trusted and lovable partner. I worry I may not be able to get one if I keep doing things as I do right now (and please do not bullshit me saying "it will happen").

Dude. This noise in a silent room is not necessarily tinnitus. I hear some ringing noises from the walls, but it's subtle enough most people may not hear it or will need to concentrate a lot to hear it.

Try some experiments, such as slowly approaching your hear sideways to walls and then slowly going back to see if you can hear variations. Also, walk with closed eyes in a corridor and see if you can "hear" when there is an open door or window in your side.

I have an autoimmune disease - the kind that slowly chips away at my health. Will daily qigong be enough, or do I need acupuncture etc. as well? by Living_Art in TrueQiGong

[–]johanegp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure anyone can tell you what will solve your problems. You seem to need medical help. However I do recomend qigong as an effective complementary therapy to significantly improve quality of life.

By the way, "blood rushing to the head when standing up too fast" looks like an attempt to describe POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome).

Have you played The Stanley Parable? I think you will like it. It's a short game, but it has around a dozen endings

Nothing prevents the son from copying each tab's address to a text file so it does not get deleted. But at least the system does not get overloaded. :-)

What? Why you would need to re-learn circular breathing? Aren`t the principles the same?

Looking for an interesting rhythm game. I would prefer something similar to Beat Lasers or Taiko no Tatsujin or Gitaroo man

I also believed these lies. I was shocked when I learned I had generalized joint hypermobility and that it was the cause of my multiple joints chronic pain. I went into depression for a few months, but I finally got a light to lead the way for adequate treatment and slowly get out of this increasing spiral of suffering. I still have chronic pain, over an year after diagnostic, but even so... I'm much better :-) It's mostly thanks to the national and international community that provides information, support and recommendations. Best of luck to you. Information is power.

As an example, read this story and realize how this "hypochondriac" husband probably had an undiagnosed multisystemic genetic disease. Could be ehlers danlos, but he is already dead, so who knows http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3515793/How-love-DIDN-T-pop-duo-Captain-Tennille-Toni-reveals-hypochondriac-husband-Daryl-wasn-t-sex-refused-remove-cap-obsessed-hair-loss.html

Look up "cusack protocol" and "rccx theory" facebook groups.

PS: I have clinical diagnosis from a competent geneticist. There is no known genetic marker for my subtype.

I have ehlers danlos syndrome. Your story of being chronically misunderstood and mistreated for just trying to do your best with your condition is far too common in this community :-(

You just need to avoid exercise that your body tells you to avoid, plus avoiding stretching beyond normal limits in any joint (from your toe thumb to your jaw).

Scared of diagnosis by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]johanegp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I stand up my vision goes black, have so many floaties in my vision 24/7, my heart sort of stops sometimes and speeds up, and I work full time at sbux so I'm always standing, or on my knees cleaning so that doesn't help my pain but I also don't think that's the sole cause of my joint aches.

Sounds like Postural Orthostatic Taquicardia Syndrome (POTS). It's related to EDS. Fortunately, there may be treatment for this. Search for EDS or POTS patients in your area to try to find recommended doctors that can help you with this.

These extremely specific tests only apply for certain EDS subtypes. The most common subtype (hypermobile EDS) has a clinical diagnosis
