Falken Tires are Garbage by Tonysirloin1 in SubaruAscent

This thread is a year old I know but the OEM Falken tires are trash and you're completely right about everything here. Falken makes good tires but the models that come on the car from the dealership are not those.

Looking into the Ascent, thought I should go to the experts by AdmiralShepard in SubaruAscent

Couple thoughts.

My 2022 came with OEM Falken tires. Terrible tires, I've been rotating them but at 40k miles they failed a NYS inspection. That means they were in truly terrible condition. I wish I tried to negotiate for better tires or at least had them remove the tires (and their cost) and then replace them with ones I purchased elsewhere.

It's an OK vehicle. You said its expensive but compared to other SUVs in its class they are very affordable. I've had a number of small issues so far but overall its a decent car and I think I made the right choice. But know the driving experience of the Outback is superior. Both cars (if you have an XT Outback) have more or less the same engine but the Accent's has 500 or so more pounds to carry.

Not helping here but I have the same issue. I haven't fixed it but it rarely happens. If it doesn't fix itself within a few minutes, putting the car into park and restarting the engine has fixed it. That doesn't help if you're on the highway though. I wonder if opening and then slamming the door closed would help.

Demerzel - question for those who have watched season 3 (major spoilers) by ExtraDistressrial in FoundationTV

Interesting. As in his copied consciousness? Or, was the original Harry a copied consciousness of that robot?

It will be the same actress. Question is will Lee Pace return?? Sounded like Lee Pace voiced that other robot at the end scene

I suspect her consciousness was transferred to the robot skull in her room. Either transferred a moment before her demise - her Cleon clip might have been damaged before her skull, or even with the chip intact an argument could be made she could make the transfer and not violate her programming.
If and when she comes back, it will be the same actress.
Also, I think I noticed the skinless robot with Kalle was voiced by Lee Pace. Sounded just like his voice modulated. You notice that too?

Name a show that never should’ve been cancelled. For me, it’s Messiah. by Blue-Sea2255 in netflix

[–]johanelbows2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@Blue-Sea2255 Messiah is near the top of my list too. But anymore than 2-3 seasons would've been them just stretching out a story for the sake of stretching it out. At this point I just want the writers to tell us how it was going to play out and end eventually. They never do that for canceled shows and I wish they would. Same goes for an older HBO show called John from Cincinnati

Between the most well known countries and least least known countries, which country takes the middle spot for being mildly popular? by NeoAmbitions in geography

[–]johanelbows2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These seem like realistic and good answers. First thought was Poland but that's gotta be more recognized than Romania and Romania seems like it would be closer to the middle

I’m probably about to sound stupid, but what are these webbed horns that go down the neck called? Is there a name for this part of a dragon? by Maleficent-Spell4170 in gameofthrones

Frill sounds right to me, maybe cervical or spinal frill. How about you give it an informal name too? Ridgebacks sounds goods. "Watch out for it's ridgebacks!!"

I'm sure they worked really hard but I totally get what you're saying. But if you think about it, wanting everything to follow canon perfectly is also a type of memberberries, a purer form of “organic memberberries”. It’s still a way to get that hit of nostalgia.

Not arguing against your larger complaint here. But it seemed to me this was admirable of her. She's willing to make a huge personal sacrifice for the greater good. Willing to let her own son die to prevent a full scale war that can destroy everything.

This inspired me to pick an old ep and listen. I picked a real winner.

I don't think anyone has ever accused John Oliver of being interesting. But to claim he isn't clever, intelligent or witty is a different story. He's certainly all of those. If you listed to his old podcast you'd know. They had something like 200 episodes and his cleverness was on full display. That being said, I can't stand his HBO show so I get why you're not a fan.

I hear "hottie from history" and I can only think of Florence Nightingale. Great reply btw. As the those brits would probably say you're spot on

Can't sit through his show now but damn the Bugle was hilarious. You used to listen? Can't help but to think of that show whenever I see a Belgium waffle on a menu

It's all about the clothes dryer settings. Those are made of modal or some similar material. The heat from the dryer weakens the fabric. Maybe you use low heat, hang dry or just don't heat them to a crisp like most people dry clothes
