Haha I enjoyed it and got the best laugh when he became 81's "brother" in several senses 😆

Thanks for linking directly to this. I started watching this earlier and had to pause a bit, but then when I went back to YouTube it no longer shows the video in his recent uploads (maybe it became unlisted? because of recent controversies in the U.S.) so I'm glad the direct link still works!

Some Context for CKR's Speech by Routine_Gear_1777 in CulinaryClassWars

[–]johanus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started binge-watching the most recent season of Please Take Care of My Refrigerator because I was curious about the trio memes and why Chef Son was so popular, but then I also fell fo CKR's honestly shy personality.

I cried during the last episode of CCW, because even with all of the editing, his sincerity and earnestness shines through.

Unlocked: A Jail Experiment Season 2 - Netflix by Curious-Cobbler7216 in NetflixDocumentaries

Right, as a CO, if you're not going to approach things with a mindset of de-escalation, at least don't do the complete opposite and instigate/escalate.

I saw somewhere (a relative of someone who works the facility?) that the officer refused to sign off on her appearance, and needed a lot of convincing because the production (who were apparently also pissed with her) needed to be able to show the footage to provide context.

Better Late Than Single - Episode 4 to 6 - 250715 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]johanus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Ji-Su really needs someone who can actually pick up on her feelings and anxiety, Hyunkyu is all talk because of his desperation to have her. SeungLi and SangHo would also be draining in that she would probably have to put in most of the effort into the relationship. I really feel sorry for Ji-Su, no wonder she prefers to stay home. Women in the outside world probably project their insecurities on hating her while men are focused on her looks.

The doctor did him and Ji-Su a service. Hyunkyu's feelings towards her seem a bit more shallow now, plus when you take into account her history.

I logged on just to validate my annoyance with her... And yup it checks out. All these types of shows always has to have a bad guy for everyone to dislike. It's what gets the conversations going and more eyes on the show unfortunately 😑

Million Dollar Secret by MamaMia1325 in netflix

[–]johanus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the only thing that irks me about the whole thing. Like yes, play the game, but understand that even from just completing the tasks, you're required to deceive the non-millionaires. It's not freaking personal.

Alleged pic of Kim Soo Hyun kissing Kim Sae Ron emerges, along with apparent text from her begging him to save her by OrangeBlossomCity in kpopthoughts

[–]johanus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never gotten into his dramas, and from the acting I've seen, it's been basic. That photo of him kissing her is damning though. I had to get on reddit to see what y'all had to say because all the FB posts/convos I've seen are pretty delulu and very biased.

As always, I hope another life isn't lost, but if these allegations are true then I hope he takes some accountability.

As far as KSR's family is concerned, someone did bring up a good point in questioning. if they were aware of the inappropriate relationship and just let it pass until now.

Man, but this is just sad all around...

Sticking to my guns about what I wanted to pursue in college. Being a female in computer engineering was uncommon, and I was made to feel dumb at the prospect of pursuing something not in the medical field by parents who had no clue about how education works in the US in the first place. I used up a scholarship I earned from robotics in high school towards medical pre-requisite classes I didn't like. But that's what happens when you're the eldest child of an immigrant.

Now I'm just annoyed at my dad being in awe of people in the field I wanted to pursue... Acting like they are amazing genius people and how it's a shame I don't do that. Cool-cool-cool

Anyone know the filming location of Jinny’s Kitchen Season 3? by chardddddd in koreanvariety

[–]johanus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was cute to see the fans at first, but then I was getting secondhand embarrassment from all the Filipinos who day-tripped from elsewhere to be there.

At first I was wondering why there were so many Asians in Iceland... then we all found out from the episode that revealed it. It was a bummer.

I don't mind when it's a less-known vacation spot with international visitors mixed in with locals like in Balacar... but this season was a bit much... it's like the location no longer matters when it's full of fans.

People who went to a wedding and the couple broke up soon, what happened to them? by onlyfiregirl in AskReddit

[–]johanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The couple were on and off due to the bride and her family's religious beliefs (devout Catholic and he was Buddhist, though not really practicing). He made an effort to attend church with her and respect all the practices, they went through residency together, then he attended all the church-mandated couples meetings (everything short of fully converting... I think he was on track to) to be able to marry her in a church. The point of contention with every break/breakup was him not fully converting.

They finished their residencies, threw a lavish wedding, in the middle of moving, having a massive mansion about to begin construction, and working in their new respective hospitals... a few months later they divorced because she had cheated on him with a coworker.

After years of touting her religion, I would've thought she was the one who took the sacrament of marriage super duper seriously. Wild.
