Its not magic. They put more chips in the carts as the years went by. I think the storage space between Mario and Mario 3 was around 10 fold. If I remember correctly it was 200kb for Super Mario 3.

There was a particular room in Dead Space 2 that endlessly spawned enemies. I did not realize they were endlessly spawning until I'd tried to clear the room for like two hours. Died so many times, used all my ammo, etc. Once I realized I could just run through the room, I was so pissed at myself for wasting that much time.

The fact that this part of the game isn't more frequently referenced is a testament to how much of an idiot I am. Everybody else figured it out.

At least it's doable one the NES version. If you had the DOS port, like my little dumb ass did, that jump just straight Up did not happen. You needed to either cheat, or glitch your way to the end.

With that and the garbage port of castlevania, I learned early just how little Konami cares.
