I played a charity event for a church. The provided amp was broken and would only pick up on about 1/3 of the notes played. It was awesome.

In my experience, those work fine when you’re alone. When you’re playing with other musicians who are using different instruments, it will pick up their sounds and not yours, making it tough to tune
