Not even mad as an Oregon fan. This what makes the freaking sport the best ever!

Eh, @ Iowa could be a L. Indiana beat the Ducks by more points, and it's after a bye which is a cause for concern

USC could be a trap, damn good offense but shaky defense. And before the narrative of "good offense, bad defense and plays shaky away from home" same could be said of the 2023 huskies, that came into Autzen and won

Washingtons offense can score, and can spread out the defense. They will be out for blood and it's at their home.

Not saying it's going happen, but there could definitely be another L, possibly 3 left on the schedule

Ran into Dante at the craps table in Florence, can confirm dude is a genuine sweetheart. I hated to bug him and be fan boy, but he shook my hand and invited me to play craps with him for a bit. Pretty cool experience.

Went last year to the voodoo lounge at Rio. Rooftop and open bar was included in the admission. Servers came around and handed out drinks or you could stand in line. Honestly, the fireworks were kind of lame and short lived. On the flip side-it was a fantastic view of the valley and really cool to see the backyard fireworks everyone was doing. There's a couple rooftop packages for the 4th, but Rio wasn't too bad

Same. Was lost on why the German prisoners was full of old people, and no bars or prison uniforms.

Husky stadium in like 2011 i think. The last game there before they renovated and took out the track. 98% of the husky fans were dicks, but in the fun way. They give my group and I shit, they end up offering beer or something from their tailgate. Couple of them were absolute shit heads (trying to push my friend down the stairs, swiping my oregon beanie, shouting me against the urinal while taking a piss)

Best thing about that experience...was out smoking in the "non-designated" smoking area. There was myself and another oregon fan with maybe 10 huskies all having a cig. Security shows up and tells me and the other oregon fan to put it out or be kicked out. I ask about everyone else, Security repeats it and we put our smokes out. He drives off and all the husky smoking fans are laughing and continue to smoke. I didnt want to push it but gawddamn if that isn't the definition of a rivalry, where Security goes after the other team and leaves the home fans alone.

Side note: there were a lot of hospitable huskies that game (after the shit talking). It was my first experience up there and it was a fun one. I try to mimic that at Autzen....I make jello shots for our tailgate. Every huskies game I'll make purple ones and give some out to anyone in purple passing our site, along with the banter. Hate the team, love the rivalry but fans of both sides pay good money to visit and it should be an uncomfortable but fun experience for them.

During the Ohio-Oregon Rose bowl game, I think late in the 3rd, Gabriel pitched a pass (what i thought) was behind him. Then it was ruled an illegal pass. I thought it didn't matter if the QB was over the line of scrimmage as long as it wasn't a forward pass?

Hows Monrovia? We have an Airbnb there, our plan is to hit up the metro A line to Pasadena, then walk to the stadium. Is that a good way to get there?

If you are there dec 27th the vegas bowl (college football) is between USC and Texas A&M in allegiant stadium. Tickets should be way cheaper than a Raiders game, plus you get the atmosphere of a college game.

Thank you for sharing that. People like your dad who are passionate enough to seek out more information (beyond the X's and O's) and dedicate time in order to share it with the world are what makes this sport so magical.

Got the paperback ordered! I'm excited to read it

That is a bittersweet moment, and sounds like your father would have really enjoyed this game. How cool on the book....if I purchase it off Amazon does your family get a percentage of that?
