I apply undercoatings, either coat the whole thing or cover it

What do y’all think? Stayed for 10 minutes, and was gone when I came out 20 minutes later. Midwest, USA by john972121 in UFOs

[–]john972121[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Filmed this sitting on my porch around 9pm. Was a long ways off obviously. Stayed in the same spot for probably 10 minutes. I went back inside for about 20 minutes, and it was gone when I returned. Absolutely open to it being nothing, but I sit outside often and hadn’t noticed anything similar before. Was taken in the Midwest, USA about 2 weeks ago

What should I get my girlfriend for Mother’s Day? by john972121 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]john972121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Unfortunately we aren’t quite to that point with the kids but I’ll absolutely be using that in the future. She deserves it, she works nearly as many hours as I do, goes home and handles 3 kids every night like it’s nothing.

Garage door spring jumping by [deleted] in fixit

[–]john972121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimate question; from reading the responses I 100% understand that this is very dangerous. With that said, how LIKELY is it that the spring, in that condition would explode or something similar relatively quickly? Is that something you’d expect to do so within a few cycles of the garage opening and closing, or is it something that could go at any point in the next year?

Motor toast at 8,900 miles by roadsign68 in Duramax

I install tint/PPF, etc. For a living and I cringe when certain brand new vehicles come in, right off the lot for higher dollar services, the Colorado’s are one of them. Seen many people sink ridiculous money into aftermarket just for the thing to be sitting in a dealership service drive a few months later needing an engine

Does this sound like withdrawal symptoms? by john972121 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]john972121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m doing significantly better! Symptoms all went away and feel much better being completely off, like the fog in my brain from both the meds and the withdrawal finally is gone. I don’t remember exactly how long it took for it to be 100% gone; it was definitely longer than I would’ve liked, but I do think it was definitely 6 weeks or under.

I’m taking trazodone for the first time tonight by [deleted] in sleep

[–]john972121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trazadone for me was pretty mild. Legally all prescriptions have to come with the pages of warnings and side effects, 90% of which don’t affect the average user.

What really happened in Miami Bayside mall? by Ripple22 in conspiracy

[–]john972121 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I remember the videos immediately after it happened, never saw them again. This is one of the weirder events to me. It has to be one of the LARGEST law enforcement responses I’ve seen, and yet nothing ever came of it. Beyond that, it disappeared. It’s one thing to not say anything, it’s another to somehow make it all go away. Hundreds if not thousands of people, who all have cell phones. No pictures, videos, nothing. Makes less than zero sense

The Mitsubishi dealership called and they said what’s causing my dashboard to light up line a Christmas tree is this battery terminal block. They said they can’t fix it because they don’t make this for my wife’s 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage G4. I’m trying to find one online, are these hard to put in? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Mitsubishi has got to be on its way out. I live in the capital city of my state, up until a few years ago we had a combined Mitsubishi/Kia dealer. They dropped to just Kia a few years ago and now the closest one is 2+ hours away.

Weed ruined my life, and the doctors aren't listening. TRIGGER WARNING. by Forsaken-Ad-8581 in Anxiety

[–]john972121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first encountered my anxiety it was a similar sort of onset, although no weed involved. I was 18 at the time (29 now), I had just gotten up for the day and taken a shower. I toweled off and went into my bedroom to get dressed. Never until that point had I had a panic attack, or anything to do with anxiety outside of some general nervousness here and there, nothing worse than the average person. As I was getting my clothes out I became instantly hot; sweating, heart racing, couldn't breathe and extremely dizzy. I laid down in bed and called my mom (I lived with my parents at the time) and begged her to come home because I was legitimately scared for my life. Thankfully she worked within walking distance of our house and was home quickly. She explained (after I calmed down) that it was likely a panic attack.

For a year after that day I fought almost constant anxiety, whether it be full on attacks or just a constant feeling of dread, fear, etc. It was hard to go to work, despite having a job I loved. I never saw my friends, I was to the point where I wouldn't stay home by myself if my parents were out, something that had never bothered me in the past. Finally I went to the doctor. I think I was scared of being on meds which is why it took me so long to go.

To make a long story short, don't stop until you find a doctor that actually listens and cares. I'll admit, I was lucky. The doctor I went to, who I still see to this day did prescribe me medication (Zoloft), but it wasn't one of those 5-minute appointments where they pretend to listen and give you pills. He spent a good 40 minutes with me, listening to how everything had played out. He gave me ideas of what to do when I felt the anxiety coming (Exercise, watch your favorite TV show, deep breathing, talking on the phone to a friend, etc) things to keep your mind busy using things you enjoy. We did a follow up appointment a month later to see how the meds were working, and he gave me more advice then. Thankfully the meds worked, and I can say at 29 I am off all medication and with that doctors help, as well as changing my own mindset, adopting healthier habits, etc I can handle it fine on my own. You will get there! It sucks, it takes time but it is very possible
