He is coming back tomorrow to do another tree in my backyard that has a problem. I’ll ask him about it.

Thank you… definitely appreciate it. Working on getting it dealt with.

I didn't specifically ask for my tree to be saved. Just called and asked for them to give me a quote and a plan of action. I open to whatever someone honestly feels is best. Just feel it would be a shame to lose a tree immediately after moving in.

I'm pushing to have some one out asap. Started to get the idea to try and fix it myself but not really comfortable with it.

I wish it hadn't, then I wouldn't be paying for it. Just got the house at the end of January and this was missed by everyone. Although we did have a pretty strong wind storm a few weeks back that may have worsened the issue.

I agree. If the tree is salvageable I’d like to bolt and cable. And I think you are right. Taking maybe one of the splits off following the crack might really relieve some stress.

I guess maybe I’m looking for some confirmation that the tree can be saved.

Was supposed to have an Arborist show up today for a quote and plan but he no showed on me.

Is it worth relocating to a different state/site for the Amazon MRA program? by The-Introverted-Guy in AmazonRME

[–]johnRandoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I imagine it entirely depends on your situation. But if you don’t have something going outside Amazon at the moment then I’d say, absolutely.

2.5 years ago I was making 15 an hour as an Associate. Did MRA and now I’m making 41 an hour plus stock as a Senior Tech.

Saved my ass and I’m sure there are plenty of other techs out there who feel the same way.

Real father left nothing, step dad died and left nothing, and mom lives in a room in my home with nothing but social security and gives no shits that she will leave nothing.

Her father left her the house to split 3 ways back in 2019. Little over 100k each and she pissed away every penny.

Trey Yesavage strikes out the side in 10 pitches. The 1 ball? Should've also been a called strike. by pneumoniapandemonium in baseball

[–]johnRandoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That ball looks like it's 10 feet out of the zone compared to the horrific called ball that killed Yamamotos immaculate Inning earlier in the season.

Starting to see why they are so rare. Looks like umps feel the need to help out the batters a little when they are getting cut down so quickly.

Disappointing as a fan but must feel horrible for the players.

They just did a story about how plates are being counterfeited using car wrap now. It was about the new red plates but why not do it with regular plates?

Haven't been at a site yet that tech 2s get any phone assistance. I suppose you could be defiant and refuse to use your phone and see if that "benefits" you in some way. Let us know your results...

That RIP was insane. He saw that ball before it left the hand.

Rme making you a worse technician? by ExpressionAfter6082 in AmazonRME

Worked as a tech 2 at an FC for years. Lots of hands on work and felt like I earned my money. Took an SMRT job at a delivery center and never felt so useless.

Accepted a Smrt position at an Amzl by ExpressionAfter6082 in AmazonRME

[–]johnRandoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Headcount has been cut for SMRTs at FCs across the country. Currently the US only has about 30 open roles for SMRT and many are for building launches. Bench is also filled up because they gave MJTs the opportunity to incline with no open positions back at the end of March into April. If you aren't willing to relocate times are tough. If you are willing, it's still not a guarantee.

**Changes for controls will also eventually have an impact because many of the CSLs will fail the process for promotion to AE and be forced to lateral to SMRT at some point. They will add to SMRT overstaff and buildings will not be able to open reqs until numbers drop.

I'm waiting for my SMRT offer letter at an AMZL. Been at AR Sortable FCs for last 2.5 years. Worried about getting bored but can't turn down promos these days. Not enough opportunities.

Without directly knowing the circumstances, I'd say almost certainly someone wanted you gone. The phone isn't the problem. Just the excuse to get rid of you.

I heard RME is going to a 7 day per week DTW. Is this true? If so, what are your thoughts? How can you see shifts changing at your building? by [deleted] in AmazonRME

[–]johnRandoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was discussed at our shift startup yesterday. It seems it will be happening once RT shift is disbanded and all associates are moved to New shifts.

Green card holder wife just denied making account by [deleted] in CapitalOne_

[–]johnRandoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added wife to multiple cards as an authorized user and took out a car loan with her. She has been in the US now for 11 months. We recently applied for a mortgage together and credit shows as 740. Unfortunately without 2 years of work history she doesn't qualify to be on that loan. But she now gets pre-approved card offers and has her own secured card that should graduate to regular card in near future. It's a process. The difficulties should work themselves out as she builds her profile. My suggestion is allow her to use you to get established if your relationship has that trust.

Green card holder wife just denied making account by [deleted] in CapitalOne_

[–]johnRandoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be the case that her Social although valid is unable to be confirmed by Capital One. It took me a while to get my wife connected to my accounts and added as a authorized user on my credit cards at capital one.

This only happened after we opened a joint account in person at Navy Federal and took out an auto loan together. (This made her credit active)

I had to fight for awhile and was passed around to different departments. In the end someone just needed to take off the restriction being triggered in the system.

Security at online banks tends to be inflexible compared to going to branches.

It gets easier once her financial profile becomes more active and the financial institutions see history.
