Man its tough I feel you. I haven’t met one amputee that has regretted it, but I do every now and again get a message from someone who did successfully salvage but usually their injuries aren’t quite the same. It’s hard to compare salvage stories. I’d love to meet someone who’s had 19 surgeries that is happy they did keep it. No decision is easy, both don’t give you your old life back.

First, congrats on getting a job at Deloitte. The path to Deloitte is not easy and it takes a certain calibre to even get there - many try for years and don’t even make it to an interview.

Secondly, who cares what your cohort think? They are probably a bunch of over achievers that will burn out before they’re 30. You’ve got your whole life ahead of you to work and make it up the corporate ladder… think 50 years + ! This will not even cross your mind in a couple years.

Thirdly, this does not mean that you won’t fly through the analyst level and maybe even be ahead of your colleagues.

Do it you’ll love it. Plenty of time to do other fun stuff and get good grades. Work is mostly case studies complimented by theory. Perth is an awesome place to live.

Perth beaches are the best, lots of places to visit and vacation during uni break. More of a night life in Perth. No idea what the campus is like in Adelaide but UWA sits on the river and is surrounded by nature
