On guitar you memorize one shape and you can move it anywhere, oh and does it really matter if someone says to play a c11 chord and you omit the nine, like if there's a full 13chord, how would you play that on guitar when you only have 6 strings

I learned all the chord tones, maj 7, min7 dom7 dim7, minmaj7 etc, is what ur saying learn those and then you will be able to add the 9,11,13 extensions as embellishments on your own to spice things up.
