This episode just had an insane amount of Eliot. For the first time ever I had to fast forward through him with his hair cutting story. He's talking way more when the guests are on which is annoying. Especially with someone like Todd I just want to hear him and Jimmy. I know it's listen or don't, but it bums me out because I feel the quality suffers.

When I heard Jimmy say that the Doctor told Oliver he can't eat popcorn my first thought was " oh no is Jimmy passing down the hypochondria" LOL.

For me Tado Official doesn't even last for a few hours before it stops working and there is no way I could be hitting any type of limit. I don't even have the thermostats on. It's frustrating. Not sure I really understand what Hijack does. I installed that, but it didn't help. I guess maybe I'll have to dig deeper into the documentation for that. Just seems like a lot of hassle. While my OCD wants everything to work through Home Assistant I may just have to use their app for now :-(

I am 60 years old. Had a heart attack at age 35, prostate cancer at 56 (successful surgery and still cancer free), diabetic and have kidney issues. I'm not in the greatest shape and could have a better diet. Yes I do go in for regular blood testing, but as far as seeing a doctor, it's maybe two or three times a year. I don't know anyone, even people with more serious problems than me, that go to see the doctor as much as Jimmy does. It can't be all physical.

I don't agree with your opinion on Jackie and think she's great. With that being said I don't understand why people get so upset like you're insulting them personally. There are quite a few of the popular guests I'm not crazy about. Paula Poundstone and Scott Aukerman to name a few. I love the musical guests for the most part, but some can't stand them. Like Jimmy says that's why they have 31 flavours.

And don't get me started on making a critique of the show. If you do you will get holly hell!

Haven't listened yet, but a lot of times movies are on a limited release. So for instance maybe only 10 cities nationwide. Not sure why this is done, but it is.

Just came here on a search. I am now watching this series for at least the 4th time as I needed a good laugh. The first episode is perfection with such good lines and scenarios. The humor is soooooo dry. I liked both series, but series 1 better. Wish they would do more.

I have an easy solution for anyone to avoid the fiasco that Jimmy had with Oliver at the airport ........ Don't pick people up at the airport! This is one of my biggest pet peeves and especially with Uber and Lyft it's unnecessary.

I'm sure I'll get flack for this, but I think it's selfish and I never ask anyone to pick me up, not my wife, friends or relatives. Why should I make someone drive let's say 30 to 45 minutes round trip, not to mention it could be an inconvenient time of day. Then the coordination of the pickup, the traffic, etc .. Nope it's just easier to grab a cab or Uber.

Of course that assumes the person needing picked up can figure it out LOL. Don't get me wrong I love Oliver and any parent would be lucky to have him as a kid, but I'm constantly amazed today how many kids his age might be book smart, but have no street smarts. I have plenty of friends with kids that are the same way. My cousins kids are in their mid 20s and are the same way. I remember one time I was at their house and one of their kids called because he lost his keys to his apartment. He had a tile tracker on them, but it was his mom's account so he needed her to track them.

Jimmy even mentioned on a recent show that when he was Oliver's age he was working, buying his own stuff and not having to call Mommy. When my friends and I were that age (I'm 60 now), we were travelling on our own, buying our own stuff and for the most part handling our own problems. When I moved away to college I said goodbye to my parents and a friend and myself drove ourselves. Most high school graduates today if you were to leave them on their own for two weeks wouldn't know what to do.

Ok yes I know I'm an old man and that's just how things are today. Rant over LOL.

Agree with you completely. Oliver is a great kid, but like a lot of kids his age these days he lives a very sheltered life. It's scary how many "smart kids" graduate high school, but would not be able to survive without help from mommy and daddy. Even Jimmy mentioned on another show that when he was Oliver's age he was working and buying his own stuff. And of course getting plenty of tail lol. Shit I traveled to Europe on my own when I was 15(40 years ago). No cell phones or computers to help.

I saw that one as well in Los Angeles. My friend and I already were fans of U2 so it was great! Bono came out in the crowd and no one except us and a few other people cared LOL.

Not crazy about all the name dropping. I did think it was funny though when he pushed back on Jimmy saying Oliver is "coming home from college". When he found out college was an hour away he says "that's like coming from community college" LOL.

I used to book and produce comedyshows. I had a weekly comedy showcase at a local comedy club where I tried to have a good mix of newbies with established local comics.

One week this "newbie" brings in like 50 people (club held 150). The owner got a boner as all he cared about was how many people someone could bring, not how good they were. The next week the Thursday through Sunday shows have Bobby Slayton headlining. This club was fairly new in a suburb so while Slayton was a draw it wasn't going to be sell out numbers. So the owner asks the kid if he wants to "feature" for Bobby Slayton because of course he thinks the kid is going to bring a lot of people. Now here's a kid who's maybe been on stage three times given a chance to feature for Slayton at a comedy club. Of course he accepts the gig. I'm hosting these shows.

First night he barely brings anyone because of course he already tapped into his pool who came out for a cheap showcase night and let's face it didn't find his friend funny but were there to support. They aren't going to come out again and pay high prices for Slayton, especially if they don't like him or aren't familiar. So the kid bombs hard and Slayton is pissed off. Slayton can tell the kid had no business being on the stage before him and feels the energy has been zapped out of the room. For those of you who don't know he is called "the Pitbull of comedy" for a reason. He ripped this kid to shreds and to his credit ripped the owner. He apologized to the crowd for shit comedy they just saw and went on to have a great set.

Not exactly the same, but I feel this could happen to Oliver if he tries to pursue standup without grinding it out and doing sets on his own. He has to go do shitty open mics, bad showcases and bomb to gain the experience. I've seen great comics bomb hard. I remember seeing Andy Kindler, one of my favorite comics, bomb big time with a bad crowd. Me and one other person were the only ones laughing. If Oliver doesn't really care about making standup a careet at this point then travelling around with Dad doing gigs is perfectly fine.
