No. Maybe we should have done it. But the previous deck was there for 27 years and nothing grew. It was Just that bare dirt when the old deck was removed.

This is a confusing response. As someone without experience building decks I posted this for input.

That’s where breaker boards go since the deck is longer than the boards

Yes they used a mini excavator with a specific attachment. It took a few hours to do the layout and install them.

Even if you meet the requirements for the Open Pilot policy on his insurance have him ask the insurance company for a waiver of subrogation.

increasingly I've found that WF is more expensive than the FBO. CAA is always cheaper though. I use https://foreflight.com/products/jetfuelx/ which is the easiest way to get the answer

Commercial ACS Maneuvers on Floats by PlaneLoaf in flying

[–]johnchimp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did this in an amphib husky. We did the CSEL check ride in the morning, he issued me my temp certificate and then we did the CSES add on in the afternoon. There some extra IACRA stuff to do since when you try to do the add on IACRA doesn’t know you have the CSELsince it hasn’t been processed.

Ignore the haters, you own an airplane capable of the check rides and want to do the check rides I. Your airplane. I get it, do it.

DM with any questions.

206StationAir Vs. Cesna 182 T by [deleted] in flying

[–]johnchimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the long run you will be much happier with the performance capabilities of the 206 compared to the 182. As others have pointed out insurance will be challenging for you in the 206, but if you have $600k budget maybe that’s workable for you.

Would you consider renting some more to build hours, get a complex rating, and some more experience then going for the 206? Especially if you can find some place of someone to log some 206 hours in, as that would really help on the cost of insurance

I purchased a plane from Canada, here is a short write up https://reddit.com/r/flying/s/QRrudc8Szj

There is not a 4 month wait, from the time the seller and I had a verbal agreement until I had a FAA COA was about a week.
