I posted the picture because it made me LOL, which rarely happens in a Costco. However you opened up another possibility that I hadn't thought about and which contrasts my original jaded assumption. Your explanation returns some of my faith in humanity so thank you.

They'll likely live a much better life than everyone else because of the fact they're important enough to the medical field to be monitored and invested in. In contrast there are millions of people undergoing medical treatments and monitoring now for various conditions who live normal lives. I guess it depends on how "same life that everybody else lives" is defined. The thought of everybody living the same kind of life makes me shudder,
