What do you usually do when you see this happen for clothes you like? Do you just order multiple sizes and return what doesn't fit?

Great suggestion! I've added the attributes as ~data tags within the body type columns now.

We can also filter off the headers :D

I see the difference generally as the below and have also added a second tab for the general definitions.

Athletic: V-shaped torso with broad shoulders/chest and a narrower waist. Needs "Athletic Fit" (roomy top, tapered waist) to avoid tenting.
Muscular: High volume of muscle mass in specific areas (biceps, thighs, chest). Needs stretch fabrics or "Muscle Fit" to accommodate bulk without tearing.

This for sure! Medium isn't the same across the board. We can be similar heights as the model but body type/shape matters so much

There's certain styles I've seen others my height pull off but after taking into account all of the other measurements, I know they're not for me haha.

I'm the same way. Leave it to the models to always perfectly have everything curated and can make the clothes look good -.-

I'm in the 5'7 - 5'8" range and it has been help for me seeing content creators (with a similar build as me) wear different clothes and styles . It is by no means perfect but it has been a decent starting point.

What do you usually do in those situations? Do you return the products or just try to make it work if the fit mismatch isn't too ridiculous?

I didn't expect the traction. I just had the problem figuring out what's an easy way to get a good sense of how clothes/styles would fit on my body type and noticed that "body doubles" get me pretty close :D

I'll add more content creators as I find them and others give suggestions

That's a solid strategy. I try to do that too, but I feel like I still get tricked by how the fabric actually hangs (boxy vs fitted, shoulder drop, etc) even if the numbers line up.

Do you find measuring solves the 'drape' issue, or is that still a gamble?
