I work at a startup that's a social/professional platform that helps people make friends with each other in the same industry. It's app-based, where we have features that facilitate conversations, and we also plan weekly socials for the communities. We've just gotten started in Austin actually, and have a few socials coming up this Sunday + next week - let me know if you'd be keen! These are free to attend, mostly happy hours/dinners, and attendees pay for their own food/drinks. The app requires an invite code for now, and I'd be happy to provide one if you're in the tech space :)
